Bank Alone Taunt Master
What's new
Bank Alone Taunt Master - Changelog
v1.15.0
- New: a name warns you when its resolved target is out of taunt range - the second most common reason (after being on cooldown) a click silently does nothing. Shows "range" in orange right where the threat percentage normally sits, since range matters more than the exact number the moment you can't act on it anyway. Checked against the actual enemy, never the ally being protected. Only fires on a definite, confirmed out-of-range result, never an indeterminate one, so it never cries wolf. Reverts to the normal percentage the instant you're back in range. Purely visual, no sound, always on.
v1.14.0
- New: a name flashes bright white for a split second the instant it actually flips to red (aggro), before settling into the normal red - a quick pop timed to land right as that row also jumps to the top of the sorted list. Fires once at the moment of the flip, never repeats while sustained, and fires again for a later, genuinely separate aggro event. Works for pet rows exactly like player rows, automatically. Purely visual, no sound, always on.
v1.13.0
- New: rows now sort by danger instead of sitting in fixed group order - whoever's actually being attacked lands on row 1, then whoever's climbing toward it (yellow), then everyone else safe (ranked by their own threat percentage), with anyone offline sinking to the very bottom regardless of anything else. Updates live: the instant someone's situation actually changes, they move to their correct spot on the very next refresh - and the panel never shuffles names around when nothing has actually changed. Works for pet rows exactly like player rows, automatically.
v1.12.0
- New: a taunt cooldown indicator now sits right under the panel title, showing "Taunt Ready" or a live countdown like "Taunt: 4s" for your own taunt spell. Shared across the whole panel rather than per-row, since there's only one taunt spell and every row would show the identical state either way. Correctly ignores the brief global cooldown that follows casting anything else, so it won't flicker to "on cooldown" just from using an unrelated ability - only your taunt's own, real cooldown counts. Always on, no toggle needed. Also added to
/bat debug.
v1.11.0
- New: the early-warning color now has its own soft chime, different from the aggro-steal alert sound so the two are distinguishable by ear. Fires exactly once at the moment someone's threat crosses into the warning zone, never repeatedly while they stay elevated there. Toggle on its own with
/bat warnsound. Works for pet rows exactly like player rows, automatically.
v1.10.0
- New: names now turn yellow as an early warning once their threat climbs to 80% or higher against whatever you're fighting, even before the mob actually switches onto them - giving you a chance to react before the pull, not just after. Still goes full red at the moment of an actual aggro flip, same as before. Works for pet rows exactly like player rows, automatically, since they share the same detection pipeline.
v1.9.0
- New: the aggro-steal warning now plays a sound (Blizzard's own built-in raid-warning chime) alongside the on-screen banner and chat line, so you'll catch it even when you're not looking at the screen. On by default, toggle with
/bat sound. If it can't play for any reason on your setup, the banner and chat alert still fire exactly as before - the sound never blocks anything else.
v1.8.0
- New: clicking a row can now auto-announce "Taunting <mob> off <name>" to party/raid chat, on by default, so the group knows you're already handling it. Only fires on a genuine click with a real target - stays silent if nothing was actually going to be cast - and won't post the same line twice for one click. Toggle with
/bat announce.
v1.7.0
- New: every group member's pet now gets its own row in the panel, labeled "<Owner>'s pet", with the same red/grey aggro coloring, live threat percentage, and click-to-taunt behavior as a player row. If a mob is attacking a hunter's pet, taunt it off with one click, just like you would for a person.
/bat debugnow lists every trackable row, players and pets together, so pet detection can be checked directly.
v1.6.2
- Corrected a wrong claim from v1.5.0: Dark Command is NOT Blood-spec-only — it's a baseline ability for all three DK specs. In its place, the addon now checks your actual spellbook on login and warns you directly if the taunt spell it expects you to have isn't there yet.
/bat debugnow also shows the spell's real in-game range and cast time, straight from the game.
v1.6.1
- Fixed the aggro-steal warning not firing for pets: hunter pets and warlock Voidwalkers were never tracked, so their taunts (Growl, Suffering) went undetected even though player-class taunts worked.
- Made the alert unable to fail silently - the chat line now always fires first, and if the on-screen banner has a problem it prints an error instead of doing nothing.
- Added
/bat testalertto fire a one-off test warning on demand. /bat debugnow shows how many group members/pets are tracked and the last taunt-shaped cast it actually saw.
v1.6.0
- New: if anyone else in your group taunts and pulls aggro off you, a big on-screen warning (raid-warning style) now shows their name and which spell they used, plus a matching chat line. Toggle with
/bat alerts(on by default).
v1.5.0
- Added a chat message on login showing which taunt spell was detected for your class, and a warning if none was found.
- Added a note for Death Knights about a possible spec restriction on Dark Command (corrected in v1.6.2 - it turned out to be wrong; Dark Command works for all DK specs).
/bat debugnow also shows your detected class and mapped taunt spell.- Removed a fallback that could silently try to cast the Paladin's spell for an unrecognized class; it now safely does nothing instead and warns you on login.
v1.4.0
- Added a live threat percentage next to each name, alongside the existing red/grey aggro coloring. It reads against whatever that person (or you) is currently fighting - 100% is the point a mob switches its attack onto them, so it doubles as an early warning.
v1.3.0
- Fixed names not turning red when a group member had aggro. Added a second, independent aggro detection method that checks each group member's current target directly, so detection no longer depends on enemy nameplates alone.
- Added
/bat debugto print diagnostic info in chat for troubleshooting aggro detection.
v1.2.0
- Fixed taunts not firing when clicking a name. Switched to the same click-cast method used by addons like Clique, with a 3-step fallback for finding the right enemy to taunt: the nameplate detected attacking that person, that person's own current target, then your own current target.
- Fixed the minimap button showing an empty icon; it now displays a "TM" mark.
v1.1.0
- Added a draggable minimap button. Click it to show or hide the panel; drag it anywhere around the minimap ring and it remembers where you put it.
v1.0.0
- Initial release. Click-to-taunt panel for party/raid members, with names shown in red (has aggro) or grey (safe). Automatically uses the correct taunt spell for Paladin, Warrior, Death Knight, Druid, or Monk.
