Bald's Death Inspection (BDI)
Bald's Death Inspection is a premium, lightweight World of Warcraft addon designed to bring ultimate clarity—and a touch of humor—to player deaths in your dungeons and raids.
Whether you are a Raid Leader analyzing mechanical failures, a healer defending your output, or a player curious about what actually killed you, BDI inspects the combat log in real-time, compiles a detailed autopsy, tracks healing gaps, and whispers the deceased exactly what went wrong.
Key Features
💀 Autopsy & Killing Blow Analyzer
No more guessing what killed your party members. BDI monitors damage events (swings, spells, ranged attacks, and environmental hazards) in the 8 seconds preceding death to isolate the exact killing blow and package it into a readable summary.
⏱️ Direct Heal Gaps (Raiding/TBC Context)
BDI tracks the exact time elapsed since a target player's last direct heal (e.g. Flash Heal, Healing Touch, Holy Light, Chain Heal, Healthstones, and Potions).
- HoTs Ignored: Heals-over-time (like Renew or Rejuvenation ticks) are correctly ignored, identifying true gaps in instant healing support.
🩺 Detailed Last Heal Inspection
The addon records the last direct heal received before death, including:
- The spell name (e.g. Flash of Light).
- The healing amount (e.g. 850 healing).
- The player who cast it (e.g. MockHealer).
💬 Automated Whispering
Once a tracked player dies, BDI automatically sends them a private whisper containing their autopsy and direct-heal gap:
> YOU DIED due to 4500 Fireball from Ragnaros (critical). You went 12.4 seconds without a direct heal. Flash of Light for 850 healing from MockHealer was the last heal.
