BagSplit
Keeps specialty bags out of the combined backpack. For WoW Forever beta 1.60.1 (Interface 16001).
With Combined Bags enabled, the default UI merges every equipped bag into one window, including quivers, ammo pouches and other specialty bags. BagSplit keeps the combined window for general-purpose bags only and opens each specialty bag in its own window, like the reagent bag.
Features
- Only general-purpose bags stay combined. Quivers, ammo pouches, soul bags and profession/reagent bags in ordinary bag slots open as separate windows.
- Opens and closes with your backpack. Opening the backpack, or using Open All Bags, opens the specialty bag windows too, and closing it closes them.
- No overlapping counts on the main backpack. The backpack button shows only the free-slot count. Your quiver or ammo pouch button still shows its ammo count.
- One toggle, saved per character. On by default.
Commands
/bagsplit- toggle on/off/bagsplit on//bagsplit off/bagsplit status- current state and which bags are separated/bagsplit refresh- reapply and reopen bags/bagsplit debug- troubleshooting info (bag families, hooks, backpack count texts)/bsplitis a short alias.
Install
Extract the BagSplit folder from the ZIP into World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns\.
If you used the earlier SeparateAmmo addon, remove it. BagSplit replaces it and keeps its setting and its /separateammo and /sammo commands.
Notes and limitations
- Only matters when Combined Bags is on. With individual bags, the game already shows each bag separately.
- A bag counts as a specialty bag if the game reports a bag type other than "any item". Quivers have been confirmed in-game; other specialty bag types use the same rule.
- Bags in the dedicated reagent bag slot are left to the default UI.
- If you swap bags while bag windows are open, reopen your bags to refresh the layout.
