What's new

AutoCompanion 6.2.12 → 6.2.20 (Mists of Pandaria Classic)

Match zone

  • Boost now aims for about 50/50: companions that suit where you are come out about half the time, however many of them suit (three quarters for a spot's own companions at a spot), and no single one more than a quarter outside a spot. Rarer finds still come out more often within that half. Time of day and holiday companions count as suiting while their time is on, and Chance comes on top.
  • The water:
    • Jumping into the water changes your companion right away (a water companion with Only, a roll with Boost).
    • In the water only the water counts, not a farm or other spot at the same place, and a choice you made on land there doesn't hold.
    • Jumping in a second time at the same place works like the first.
  • Leaving the water, a farm or a special spot rolls again for the zone after 15 seconds instead of 30.
  • Snow: winter companions only suit snowy zones, and every snowy zone suits them. Parrots, snakes, turtles, crocolisks, dinosaurs, reptiles and scorpids never suit snowy zones. Penguins only suit snowy coasts.
  • Towns: towns, villages and ports suit rats. Booty Bay, Gadgetzan, Ratchet and Everlook no longer bring cats or city companions, and Tanaris's cats only suit Gadgetzan.
  • Under the cities: Dalaran's Underbelly, Orgrimmar's Cleft of Shadow and Ironforge's Forlorn Cavern count as zones of their own. No show-off city companions down there, and going in or out works like a zone change.
  • Wild battle pets suit the zone you can catch them in, as far as its spots allow (a wild gull on the coast, not inland).
  • Whelps only suit where the dragons are in zones that aren't dragon country: Duskwood's Twilight Grove, Seradane, Bough Shadow, Dream Bough, the Temple of Atal'Hakkar and Pool of Tears, the Wetlands' Dragonmaw camps, Wyrmbog, the Dragonmurk and Emberstrife's Den, Dragon's Mouth and Lethlor Ravine, Mazthoril, the Caverns of Time, Coldarra, and Redridge's Lakeridge Highway. These are dragon lairs now too (except Lakeridge Highway). Azshara and Sholazar Basin (and Suramar on Retail) no longer suit whelps.
  • Water in places:
    • Darkshore suits sea companions only along its coast, and lake companions at its rivers.
    • Fish in Winterspring and Dun Morogh only suit their lakes.
    • Stonetalon no longer suits sea companions; its lake companions and turtles suit its lakes and the Blackwolf River.
    • Mount Hyjal's lake companions only suit its lakes.
  • Zones:
    • The Deadmines is a mine too (rats, roaches, insects, bats and stone), besides what suits Westfall.
    • The Deeprun Tram suits rats and gadgets, no longer cats.
    • No rats in Felwood.
    • Scorpions also suit the Barrens and Thousand Needles.
  • New and reworked categories:
    • Gryphon: gryphons, wind riders and hippogryphs, suiting the Hinterlands, Twilight Highlands, Feralas, Ashenvale and Thousand Needles.
    • Bat and crow: suiting the gloomy zones, graveyards and mines.
    • Hawk: birds of prey, for open and mountain country.
    • Stone: rock, crystal and sand creatures, suiting rocky zones, mines and quarries.
    • Birds sorted out: seabirds suit the sea, ducks and waders the lakes. Phoenixes, firehawks, dragonhawks and the stone birds aren't birds any more, and Egbert, the Hawkstrider Hatchling and Poro only suit cities.
    • Elementals split by element: water ones suit lakes or the sea, air ones the sky zones, fire and frost ones fire and snow. Silithus no longer suits water elementals.
    • The Darkmoon Turtle is a turtle like Speedy, no longer a city companion.
    • Pet families: companions were checked against their pet family. Mechanical ones count as gadgets, plague-ridden animals as undead, aquatic ones by the water.
    • New companions that aren't in the addon's data get a rough category from their pet family.

Sounds

  • Mute summoning sounds also mutes the two summoning sounds the WoW Forever version mutes.

Statistics

  • "Brought back" is listed together with the other reasons under By reason.

Diagnostics

  • The activity log says when your choice holds a spot and when that ends, when a spot is ready and waiting for you to stand still, and why nothing happened (already done on this visit, or no re-roll because you're at another spot).
  • The report shows the spot visit you're on.
