AuraShelf-0.8.1.zip
What's new
Changelog
0.8.1
- Marked as up to date for patch 12.1.5
0.8.0
- Icons start bright now. A new aura is fully lit and the shade grows over it as the time runs out. Before it was the other way round, and a new aura started almost black, which was hard to see at night or in a cave.
- Shading on the Look tab picks bright to dark, dark to bright (the old look) or off, per shelf. Off keeps the icon bright to the end. Saved shelves change to bright to dark.
- The preview and Test mode show the shading on their sample icons.
0.7.0
- The shelf editor got rebuilt. Name, unit and what the shelf shows sit on top, and the settings moved onto the Filter, Look, Sounds and Pinned tabs. The window is a little wider and shorter than before.
- A preview under the name draws the shelf with sample icons as you change it, before you press Save. Big shelves shrink to fit the box.
- A line under the name says what your pins do on this shelf. The game lets pins pick buffs on friends and debuffs on enemies and shows every aura the other way round, and the line says which case you're in. Its "what works where?" button opens a small table with every setting against buffs and debuffs on friends and enemies.
- The buffs and debuffs ticks became one switch: buffs, debuffs, both or no icons. A shelf with no icons still plays the sounds of its pinned auras, same as with both ticks off before.
- Revert throws away your changes since the last Save.
- New shelf opens a list in the editor with an empty shelf and the presets, each with a line on what it holds. The Preset button is gone.
- A pinned aura can have its own stack sound now, next to its own gain and end sounds.
- Icons can grow from the middle. Pick centered under icon direction on the Look tab and the icons stay in the middle of the shelf as auras come and go. On a shelf with more than one row the last row starts at the left.
- Order on the Look tab lets the game sort a shelf's icons by time left or by name. Game default is what shelves did before.
- The Look tab has a duration bar, a thin bar along the bottom of each icon that runs down with the time left. The game drives it, so it works in combat.
- Name while locked on the Look tab shows the shelf's name as a slim label or as the tab when the shelves are locked. None keeps them bare like before.
- Unlocked shelves show their empty slots, so a shelf with nothing up still shows its size.
- A dragged shelf lines up with a nearby shelf's edge when you drop it within a few pixels.
- Test mode draws the same sample numbers each time instead of random ones, and shows the duration bar when a shelf has it.
- Fixed a shelf with only a stack sound going quiet after a target or party change.
- Shelves start locked after every login and /reload. Before they stayed unlocked if you left them that way.
0.6.0
- A Max minutes box in the editor's Filters section hides auras that last longer than the minutes you type, and auras with no duration. It counts an aura's full length, so a one hour flask stays hidden to its last minute. Type 10 and the shelf shows only your short buffs. Leave it blank to show every duration, which is how saved shelves stay.
- A timer button and a Timer size slider in the editor's Layout section. The time left can sit below the icon, above it, on it or nowhere, per shelf. Saved shelves keep it below at the size it had.
- Fixed the double timer on shelf icons. With the game's option for cooldown numbers on, the icon showed a second countdown on top of the shelf's own, and that one ran a second ahead. Only the shelf's timer shows now.
- The Filters, Sounds and aura list sections moved down a row to make room for the timer settings.
0.5.0
- A Stack size slider in the editor's Layout section sets how big the stack number on a shelf's icons is, per shelf. Saved shelves keep the size they had.
- A Test button in the editor's top right corner fills every shelf with sample icons and clears them on the next click, the same as /ash test.
- The sample icons carry a made up stack number, so you can pick the size without the aura up.
- The Layout sliders got a little narrower to make room.
0.4.2
- On WoW Forever the Preset button only offers Power Infusion. The other presets are lists of retail spells and threw errors there.
0.4.1
- Loads on WoW Forever. That client runs the same aura containers and aura sounds as retail, so the shelves and chimes work there the way they do on 12.1. The presets still list retail spells, on Forever you'll mostly pin your own.
0.4.0
- Every shelf has a tick in the editor's list. Untick it to park that one shelf, icons and sounds, and tick it again when you want it back. Nothing else about the shelf changes and the tick takes effect at once, no Save needed. Parking works in combat too, only bringing a shelf back waits for it to end.
- /ash debug says off for a parked shelf instead of pretending it never built.
- The buffs and debuffs tooltips say what those ticks do: they pick the icons the shelf draws, and the sounds of the pinned auras play even with both off. A sound only shelf was always possible, now the editor admits it.
0.3.1
- Six sounds nobody wants to hear twice, for the auras you must never miss: Fork, Styrofoam, Scrape, Screech, Feedback and Drill. CC0 recordings, sources in the README.
- Fixed the sound picker playing its clicks on the addon wide channel instead of the shelf's, which also made it warn about the wrong volume slider. The warning now names the slider it means.
0.3.0
- Twenty seven new built in sounds. Softer alerts in Power Up, Three Tone, Two Tone, Phaser Down, Low Tone, Ding, Gong, Alert, Wrong and Boom, harder hits in Shot, Slam, Punch, Clang, Shatter and Zap, real wreckage in Window, Smash, Pipes, Pipe Hit, Car Crash and Collision, and for the big moments Air Horn, Drama Boom, Thunder, Foghorn and Klaxon. All CC0, the README says where each came from.
- The built in sounds sit under an AuraShelf: prefix in the picker so they stand apart from LibSharedMedia packs. Saved picks carry over on their own.
0.2.0
- Chimes can pick their audio channel. An Options button in the editor sets the default for the whole addon, SFX as before, and every shelf can override it. Master keeps playing for people who mute their sound effects.
- The enabled and minimap ticks moved from the editor's bottom row into the new options window.
- The sound test buttons play on the shelf's channel and name the right channel when the audio options are the reason for silence.
- The editor shows an unsaved changes note next to Save while edits wait for it.
- The editor window is about a third bigger so more aura cards fit, and Lock and Options moved into its top right corner.
- The shelf editor got a tidy up. The settings sit in labeled Filters, Layout and Sounds sections on an even grid, and the first sound picker is named Gain sound now.
- Icon size goes up to 128 instead of 64. Saved shelves keep the size they had.
- A spell ids tick in the options window, the same thing /ash ids toggles.
- Fixed the minimap tick not sticking. The button hid for the session but came back at the next login, and the tick sprang back on when the window refreshed.
0.1.1
- Preset button: externals, big defensives from the game's tagging, group defensives, Bloodlust and a Power Infusion lamp.
- Shelves can show buffs and debuffs together, watch party members, and grow left or right.
- Target, focus, pet and party shelves clear and refill when the unit changes, sounds re-register too.
- Sounds are now three pickers per shelf, gain, end and stacks, no ticks: None is quiet, anything else plays. Auras can override gain and end with picks of their own.
- Private auras display and chime like everything else, the 12.1 systems cover them.
- Auras can be shared in chat: shift-click a card, the link offers matching shelves to whoever clicks it.
- A skip permanent tick hides duration-less auras like the Mythic+ scaling buff, skip dispellable and skip CC thin debuff shelves further. On enemy buffs the game ignores id lists, tooltips say so.
- Icons got a dark edge, a cooldown swipe and a stack count, and rows finally wrap instead of running one line.
- The aura log shows combat gains as game-rendered text. /ash scan prints every spell tagged as a big defensive, /ash test fills shelves with sample icons for placing them.
- A minimap button (LibDBIcon) and an icon in the addon list.
- An enabled tick turns the whole addon off and on, settings kept.
- New flat checkboxes and sliders in the editor, and the sound test now says when the audio options are the reason for silence.
- Fixed a Lua error from the aura log on every aura change in combat.
