AstraCue
AstraCue is a customizable combat display for World of Warcraft Retail, developed by Babaydook. It brings ability recommendations, proc alerts, selected cooldown recovery notices, and equipped trinket buff icons into a configurable interface.
Features
- Up to three ability recommendation icons with spell names and key bindings.
- An automatic mode using the client's recommendations, plus manual opener and movement-assistance rules when automatic mode is disabled.
- Two independently configured proc alert slots.
- Readiness notifications for selected cooldowns and charge recoveries, with optional sounds and appearance animations. Multiple notifications can appear together.
- Two independent equipped-trinket buff slots. Icons remain visible while their supported buffs are active; optional sound plays on application, not removal.
- Configurable icon shapes, decorative frames, colors, sizes, opacity, positions, and appearance effects.
- A layout editor and safe previews in settings.
- Saved appearance profiles with import and export. Appearance transfers do not replace specialization rules or key bindings.
- Russian and English interface text and built-in diagnostics.
AstraCue displays information and recommendations; the player performs all actions. It does not execute combat actions automatically. Information available to the addon depends on the client's public APIs. Restricted or unavailable states may limit recommendations or notifications.
Compatibility
This release targets World of Warcraft Retail 12.1.5, Interface 120105. Final testing was performed on client build 70391, including Protection Warrior. It is not packaged for Classic, and comprehensive validation of every class and specialization has not been completed.
Getting started
Install AstraCue with the CurseForge app or extract the archive so that Interface/AddOns/AstraCue/AstraCue.toc exists. Type /astracue to open settings. Configure the display, proc alerts, Readiness sources, and trinket buffs, then use the editor to place the elements.
For updates, replace the addon folder while keeping your WTF folder and SavedVariables. Exit the game before replacing files.
Commands
/astracue— settings./astracue edit— layout editor./astracue diag— general diagnostics./astracue buffdiag— trinket buff diagnostics./astracue readydiag— Readiness diagnostics./astracue perf onand/astracue perf— optional performance capture and report.
Known issue
After returning to the game from the background, some Readiness notifications may appear late. This is a known non-critical issue in version 0.3.2.
The text cursor in profile import/export was reported as static on the tested client and was accepted for this release. Profile typing, pasting, selection, and export remain available.
Reporting issues
Include the addon version, client version, class and specialization, reproduction steps, and /astracue diag output. For trinket buff issues, include /astracue buffdiag. Screenshots help with layout problems. Do not post private signing keys or account data.
