A popup when you catch something for the first time, with where you caught it. Click it to open the catch in the journal, or turn it off in the settings.
When and where you first caught it, the zones you have fished it in with the chance there and your own share, cooking recipes, and a map of where you caught it.
Sort and narrow the list: caught, not caught, favorites, your zone, cooking, and what is in or out of season right now.
Quest, event, seasonal and night or day fish, from Nat Pagle's rare fish to the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza. Fish new in Forever are marked.
Every fishing zone with the skill it needs, colored by your own fishing skill: red is too low, orange means some get away, green means nothing does.
By default every catch stays hidden as ??? until you pull it out of the water yourself.

A fishing journal for WoW Forever and Classic Era, in the style of the game's spellbook. It records what you catch and where, and shows what each zone holds.
The journal
- Every catch is recorded: how often, when and where you first caught it, and where on the map
- Catches you have not made yet show as ???, or turn on "Reveal all" to see everything
- Categories for fish, trophies, special catches, treasure and the rest
- A popup when you catch something new
Zones and fishing skill
- Every fishing zone with the skill it needs, coloured by your own fishing skill
- The chance of each catch per zone and subzone, and your own share next to it
- Your casts and catch rate, including how often no fish was hooked or it got away
- Seasonal, night, day and event fish, with "In season" and "Out of season" filters
Maps
- Fishing schools and your own catch spots on the journal's map, including dungeons
- Optional pins on the world map, with waypoints
Notes
- It only reads what the game tells it: no casting, looting or gear swapping, so it works alongside other fishing addons
- English, Korean, German, French and Spanish
- /afg opens the journal, /afg export shares catches the addon does not know yet
