Adventure Guide for Classic brings the features of the retail Adventure Guide/Dungeon Journal to the Classic version of World of Warcraft. Originally introduced in patch 4.2.0 as the Dungeon Journal and revamped in patch 6.2.0, this guide provides comprehensive details on dungeons and raid encounters, including their abilities, loot and boss models.
Compatibility
The guide detects which version of Classic you're playing and shows the content that belongs to it:
- Classic Era - 21 dungeons and 11 raids
- Season of Discovery - season specific loot and encounters
- Burning Crusade Classic - 16 dungeons and 8 raids
Loot is filtered to the version you're on, so Season of Discovery items appear only on a Seson of Discovery realm and Burning Crusade items only on Burning Crusade Classic.# Features
Encounters
Browse every dungeon and raid, with an overview of each boss, its abilities, and the tactics for each role. Bosses you have defeated this lockout are marked.
Loot
Every encounter lists what it drops, split into standard, shared and rare tiers so you can see at a glance how likely something is.
- Filter by class - shows what your class actually wants rather than everything it can equip
- Filter by armor type - Cloth, Leather, Mail or Plate
- Preview any item - Hold Ctrl and hover to see it on your character, or Ctrl-click to open it in the dressing room
- TIer tokens preview - Token has no appearance of its own, so it preview as the set piece your own class trades it for.
- Wishlist - Shift + right click any item to track it, and get a notification when it drops
Boss Models
A Model tab on each encounter shows the boss itself, with the instance art behind it. Drag to turn the model, right-drag to tilt, and scroll to zoom. Encounters with more than one creature let you switch between them.
Notifications
Optional toasts for levelling up, defeating a boss, and a wishlist item dropping. The level-up toast can also list the new spells available to you from your class trainer. Position and scale are adjustable, or you can turn any of them off.
