# Absolute Gear

**Your next upgrade, for every slot, and exactly where to get it.**

Absolute Gear ranks every piece of gear you can use for your class, spec and level, shows how much better each one is than what you wear, and tells you where it drops, which quest gives it, who sells it or who crafts it. Track what you want and a tracker, a guide arrow and map pins take you there. The window is translucent, movable and resizable.

## Upgrades
- **Every slot ranked for you**: 9 classes and 31 specs, including Shockadin, Enhancement Tank, Battlemage and Feral Bear.
- **Weapons ranked as whole setups**: one-handers are paired with your best off-hand, and two-handers are judged against your whole setup. Choose two-hander, one-hander with shield or off-hand, or dual wield, or let your spec decide.
- **Real numbers**: the gain over what you wear, and the actual stat changes on every tooltip (+9 Agi, -2 Str, +11.7 DPS).
- **Next upgrades** strip, a **gear readiness** bar, **look ahead** up to 6 levels, and **search** across items, zones and NPCs.
- **No hidden math**: hover the spec button to see the exact weights that rank every list.

## Where to get it
Boss and trash drops with drop chance, rare creatures, world drops, quest rewards (pick-up level, quest giver, chain position), vendors (gold, reputation, honor), professions (skill, recipe, materials and your own skill), plus chests and containers. Each shows zone coordinates and live distance, and dungeon drops point to the entrance.

## Filters and play styles
Hide any source type, a single dungeon or raid, a single profession or a vendor type. Seven play styles: **No Dungeons**, **Dungeon Runner**, **Get It Now**, **Don't Look Back**, **Manageable**, **Buy It** and **Solo Friendly**.

## Hunting
Track any item. The **tracker** shows its source, zone and live distance, the **guide arrow** points to the nearest place to get it, **pins** mark it on the world map and minimap, and a popup tells you when the hunt is complete.

## Everywhere in the game
- **Tooltips** show the item's rank, its gain over what you wear, the stat changes and its best source.
- **Upgrade arrows** appear on loot, group rolls, quest rewards, vendors and **your bags**. A gold arrow means the item becomes an upgrade at a later level.
- **Character panel**: a small button on every slot opens its best picks, and slots with an upgrade waiting get a green arrow.

## Simulator
Plan any class, level, faction and spec, whether that's an alt or your next ten levels.

## Forever field notes
WoW Forever adds items that no classic database knows. Absolute Gear learns gear from vendors, loot and quest rewards as you meet it, reads its real stats from the game, and ranks it with everything else. Item stats are always read live from the game client when it has them, so Forever's own changes win.

## Commands
`/ag` opens the window (`/absgear` and `/absolutegear` work too). `/ag help` lists every command.
