Stop scrolling through chat. See every group, player, guild and seller at a glance.

On a busy realm the LookingForGroup, Trade and World channels move so fast that you can't read, let alone click, the message you actually care about. Is that a raid forming right now, a guild recruiting for next week, or someone selling a boost?

PugBoard reads the public chat channels and sorts every message into a clean board. Each player gets exactly one card, which is updated in place when they post again. No endless list, no spam wall.

Features

• One card per sender. Spammers who post every minute take up one card, not fifty lines.
• Sorted like the in-game group browser: Dungeons, Raids, PvP and Other.
• Other is split into Quests & Zones, Other groups, Guilds, Trade, Portals & Services, Crafting, Boosts & Sales and Layer requests.
• Messages naming several instances show up under each of them, for example "BT + Hyjal" under Black Temple and Mount Hyjal.
• Clean cards with only what matters: instance, wanted roles and specs, start time and loot rules (SR, MS>OS, GDKP, Buy-in). The fill bar only appears when the message says something like 17/25.
• Groups that want you get a green border. PugBoard knows your class and whether you play melee, ranged or caster DPS, so "need ranged" lights up for a mage or hunter but not for a rogue. "Need all" fits everyone.
• Your role is detected from your talents. You can also pick any role yourself, for example Tank while you look for a spot for a friend.
• The list never moves under your mouse. New entries wait in a bar at the top until you click it.
• Filter and pings are separate:
  • Checkbox: show this on the board.
  • Bell: notify me when this is posted. This is what you are actively looking for right now.
• Ping notices with sound, a Whisper button and a Show button. Show opens the board on that card and makes it glow, so you can whisper right away.
• Whisper in one click. The chat box opens with your own prefilled message; you send it yourself. Cards show when you whispered someone and their reply.
• Settings tab for your role, pings, sounds, notice position, card timings, whisper texts per card type, chat channels and window scale.
• Filter tab with every instance and category at a glance.
• Raids you have an ID for stay visible and are marked, so you can still look for friends. Hide them with one click if you prefer.
• Wrongly sorted? Right-click and correct it. PugBoard remembers this for that player. Corrections are stored only on your PC, nothing is shared with other players.
• Recognizes English, German and several other languages, including guild recruitment in Russian, Polish, Czech, Swedish, Hungarian, French and Spanish.
• Cards are dimmed when the player has not posted for 10 minutes and disappear after 15. Pin the ones you want to keep.
• Movable and resizable window, minimap button and key binding.

Classic Era and Hardcore

PugBoard detects the client on its own and only shows what exists there:

• Classic dungeons including The Stockade, MC, Onyxia, BWL, ZG, AQ20, AQ40, Naxx, and the battlegrounds AV, WSG and AB. Outland, heroics and arena are hidden.
• "HC" is read as Hardcore, not heroic. "SM Arms" is the Armory, not the warrior spec.
• Mak'gora challenges get their own entry under PvP.
• World buffs get their own category under Other: Onyxia, Nefarian, ZG heart and Rend timings.
• Quest groups are recognized from quest links and elite quest names like Hogger, Mor'Ladim or Morbent Fel.

How to use

1. Open the board with /pug or the minimap button.
2. Open the Filter tab and ring the bell next to what you are looking for, for example Karazhan, a heroic dungeon or Scholomance.
3. Keep playing. When a matching group is posted, you get a notice. Click Show to jump to the card.

• /pug: open or close the board
• /pug settings: open the Settings tab
• /pug role auto | tank | healer | dps: role used for matching
• /pug channel <name>: read or ignore a custom channel
• /pug unignore <name>: undo "ignore sender permanently"
• /pug forget <name>: remove your corrections for a player
• /pug minimap: show or hide the minimap button
• /pug reset: reset window position and size
