Description

Pelican Town is online.
Chirp Valley puts a social app on your farmer's phone. Post about your day, collect hearts and followers, message the villagers, and watch them post, reply, quote and bicker about everything that happened in town.
An add-on for The Living Valley. Version 1.1.3 or later required.
A morning on Chirp
It might go like this. Sebastian chirps "rain all day. perfect. #frogs" at 6:40. Demetrius replies that frog activity is up since dawn. Pierre advertises fresh seeds, "locally owned, unlike SOME stores", and Shane answers with a frozen pizza deal from Joja that collects eleven hearts while Pierre's post gets three. Then you post your first giant pumpkin, and your phone doesn't stop buzzing until lunch.
In your game, villagers write their own posts about the weather, the festival on the calendar, the newspaper headline, crop prices, town gossip and each other, in their own voices, using what The Living Valley remembers about them.

What you do with it
Chirp from the farm. The phone suggests drafts from your day (a big shipment, a festival, a new fish, a mine record, a closer friendship), or write your own. Add pixel emoji and a picture: something in your bag, anything in your collection (every item you've shipped, caught, found or donated, so your gallery grows as you play), any villager you've met, or an emote.
Watch the hearts roll in. Villagers who know you heart, rechirp, follow and reply over the next in-game hours, with a little alert each time. A chirp that goes viral becomes town news, and villagers bring it up in person.
Message villagers. DMs go through each villager's own Living Valley chat, so they remember what you sent when you talk face to face. They also know what happened between you on Chirp. Replies come when they get a moment, not instantly, and late at night they wait until morning.
Find people. Explore lists everyone you've met, with a follow button. Profiles show bios, followers, and a status line that changes with the game: married to you, best friends, birthday today.Follow the drama. Tagged villagers answer each other, rivals pile on, and #hashtags trend.

Player Rivalry
Villagers can tease and ratio each other all they like. How they treat you is your call, under Player Rivalry:
Cozy (default): always kind and supportive.
Playful: friendly jabs, no hard feelings.
Fierce: villagers you aren't close to may dunk on your chirps and hold a grudge, which they remember face to face.
Chirp also nudges friendship, gently. Hearting and replying to a villager's chirps, shoutouts and DMs add up to 10 friendship points per villager per day (a normal chat in person gives 20). Only in Fierce mode can a heated exchange cost up to 5 points a day. Dating, heart events and the vanilla heart caps are never touched.
Every villager gets a profile
The vanilla cast and the characters The Living Valley officially supports (Stardew Valley Expanded, Daulton and Maple, Downhill, and Living Valley Characters including the farmhands) have hand-written bios. Any other NPC you install gets a bio written once from what The Living Valley knows about them, saved with your farm. You can write your own bio too, and villagers read it.
NPC authors: ship your character's Chirp bio with Content Patcher by editing Mods/mx146323.ChirpValley/Bios (NPC internal name to bio).

Make it yours
Five phone themes (Sky, Night, Blossom, Meadow, Harvest), switched with a tap on your profile. A pixel emoji set built for chirps, and pictures drawn from the game's own sprites, so items and villagers from other mods show up too.

Install
- Install The Living Valley 1.1.3 or later and connect an AI provider in it.
- Unzip Chirp Valley into your Stardew Valley/Mods folder.

- Phone theme
- Pop-up alerts on or off
- Villager chirps per day (default 8)
- Daily AI requests (default 10, 0 for templates only)

Good to know
- AI use: Chirp makes at most 10 AI requests per in-game day by default, shared by the morning feed, replies, villager reactions and bios. DMs use The Living Valley's normal chat.
- Save size: chirps older than 28 days are cleared automatically.
- Multiplayer: runs on the host's phone. Farmhands can't open it yet.
- Languages: English. The AI writes in your game language, and the phone was checked with Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Translations are welcome: copy i18n/default.json.
- Uninstalling: safe. Chirp keeps its data in your save and never changes vanilla files or dialogue.
