Golden Grove Retreat

Welcome to Golden Grove Retreat!

This build started as the shell for the #MadsAFShell challenge, which I transformed into a bright, warm and colorful modern family home surrounded by lush landscaping.

I wanted the house to feel modern without becoming too cold or minimal, so I combined natural wood tones, warm orange accents, large windows and lots of greenery to give the entire home a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

The unusual shell shape was a lot of fun to work with and inspired some of the more interesting room layouts, terraces and outdoor spaces throughout the build.

Golden Grove Retreat features bright, comfortable spaces designed for family gameplay.

🌸 Outdoor Living

The landscaping is one of the biggest features of this build.

The entire house is surrounded by layers of flowers, rocks, shrubs and greenery, helping the home feel like its own little private retreat.

• 🍽️ Outdoor dining space
• 🔥 Cozy firepit lounge
• 🌿 Multiple terraces
• 🌸 Extensive landscaped gardens
• 🪨 Rock formations and layered pathways
• 🌳 Plenty of greenery surrounding the home

The different outdoor areas give your Sims plenty of places to relax, entertain and enjoy the garden.

✨ #MadsAFShell Challenge

This build was created from the shell used for the #MadsAFShell challenge.

I kept the original shell as the starting point and completely transformed it through the interior design, landscaping and outdoor spaces.

It was a really fun challenge and definitely pushed me to experiment with shapes and layouts I might not normally use!

📥 Installation

1. Download and extract the files.
2. Place the included Tray files inside:

Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Tray

1. Start The Sims 4.
2. Open your Library and place Golden Grove Retreat.

Before placing the lot, I recommend enabling:

bb.moveobjects on

This helps make sure the landscaping and decorative objects are placed correctly.
