Small Business Shop Refresh

A lightweight tuning fix for The Sims 4 Small Business system.

This mod helps prevent an issue where displayed shop items can stop attracting customer attention properly after the business has been running for a while.

The problem may appear:

• after several Sim hours of running the shop,

• on the second Sim day,

• and/or after reloading the lot and opening the business again.

When this happens, customers may start ignoring items that are already on display, while newly placed or manually moved items immediately become interesting to them again.

What this mod does

• refreshes Small Business shop displays when the business opens,

• performs an additional refresh after 5 Sim hours,

• helps customers continue noticing and buying items already on display,

• reduces the need to manually move products or toggle sales settings to make the shop work again.

How it works

The mod refreshes the Light Retail display state used by Small Business shops.

A refresh is performed:

• when the business opens,

• and once again after 5 in-game hours.

This is intended to keep retail displays active both after reopening a shop and during longer business sessions.

Why I made this

In some Small Business shops, customer shopping behavior can become stuck or stale over time. This can happen during a long opening session, on a later Sim day, or after reloading the lot and reopening the business.

Moving an item or placing it on display again can temporarily fix the problem, which suggests that the retail display state is not always being refreshed correctly.

Small Business Shop Refresh automates that refresh so you do not have to keep rearranging your merchandise manually.

Compatibility

Installation

1. Place the .package file in your Mods folder.

2. Delete localthumbcache.package.

3. Remove any older versions of this fix before installing the current version.
