Sim AI: Data Center 1.1- UPDATE

Hi everyone! This is the first Updated release of Sim AI: Data Centers, a gameplay mod I've been building to bring AI, data centers, and some of the conversations surrounding AI into The Sims 4.

This idea started with creating a Sim AI career, but eventually I wanted Sims to have different opinions about AI too, rather than every Sim interacting with the new gameplay in exactly the same way.

What's Included

The current version includes one new career, four new traits, two custom skills, new buffs, social interactions, rivalries, and several AI-themed gameplay interactions.

Sim AI Career

There's one new career centered around working in the Sim AI/Data industry.

Your Sim starts out working their way through the field before eventually having the opportunity to follow different directions within the industry.

One side leans more toward research and using AI and SimData in ways that benefit Sims, while the other focuses more on the corporate side of the industry, including growth, influence, and profit.

I wanted the career to give players room to decide what kind of person their Sim becomes as they gain more influence in the industry.

Four New Traits

There are four custom traits included in the mod.

Some of these traits represent opposing views about AI and SimData, including For the Sims and For the Company.

For the Sims is more focused on how AI affects Sims and how the technology could be used responsibly.

For the Company takes a much more corporate approach. These Sims are more concerned with the success of the company and what can be gained from the growth of Sim AI.

There's also the AI Booster trait, along with a fourth custom trait, giving Sims additional ways to react to and participate in the new gameplay.

The traits come with their own buffs and social interactions, so they're more than just descriptions in the personality panel.

Two New Skills ( AI Development & AI Engineering)

I've also added two custom skills to the mod.

AI Development & AI Engineering

These give Sims additional progression related to the AI/Data theme instead of having everything depend on existing base-game skills.

AI Development Skill- To start building this skill, head over to the computer---> program and Develop Sim Ai Model

as you continue building new interactions unlock!

AI Engineering Skill- Upgrades added to the Computers, TV's & Stereo's )

New Interactions, Buffs & Rivalries

There are several new social interactions throughout the mod.

Sims can talk about AI, SimData, their beliefs about the industry, and other topics connected to their traits and career.

Some Sims will naturally have very different opinions, which is where the rivalry aspect comes in.

For example, a Sim who strongly believes in putting Sims first isn't necessarily going to get along with someone who thinks the company's success should come before everything else.

There are also custom buffs connected to different interactions and traits, giving Sims reactions to some of the things happening through the mod.

Chat SimPT

I also added Chat SimPT as a computer interaction.

It's a smaller piece of gameplay that lets your Sim interact with an AI chatbot from their computer. It's not meant to be a huge separate system — just another little detail that helps AI feel like something that actually exists in their world.

You'll find other AI/Data-related interactions throughout the mod as well.
