New gameplay: NPC Sims can call you to apologize if they've been not-so-nice to you lately. There are many kinds of calls and each has 3 to 6 variations. Their traits and relationship with you will influence the kind of calls they make.
The response you choose will affect your relationship, social context, conflict resolution value, sentiments and buffs, unless you choose "Ignore".
Here's an example of one variation of funny apologies:

This new mod is a remake to my original Reconcile over Text mod. I really really loved the idea, but I hardly saw myself using it because it only let me send a proper and polite apology and it always worked... which is kind of stupid, like, what if I want to send a funny or horny apology? What if I can't be bothered to think so I let AI handle it? What if I say sorry but also ask the other Sim to quit fussing? Or what if I don't want to apologize at all...? That's how this mod was born... It introduces several different ways to handle apologies via text. And best of all, these apologies can succeed or fail based on your Sim’s mood, traits, relationship level with the Sim they're texting and their traits.
So when you open the relationship panel and click on a Sim -> Socials, if this thing pops up, it means your Sim has been mean to them in the past 24 hrs and/or they have negative sentiments toward you (or you feel guilty toward them).
Click on the menu and you'll most likely see these options:
Apologize and:
- Be Sincere
- Beg for Forgiveness (Same as Be Sincere, but with a higher base chance and requires a sad mood)
- Be Funny
- Be Seductive
Apologize but:
- Ask (the other Sim) not to overreact (replaced by another interaction for certain Sims)
- Let AI handle it for you
- Insist you're right
Don't Apologize, and:
- Demand (the other Sim) apologize first
- Say (the other Sim) deserved it
- Ask (the other Sim) to get lost
Not all these interactions are available for all Sims. Some require a certain mood, and some are locked behind traits, character values and relationship with the other Sim. Generally, mean, evil, argumentative Sims or those with low Conflict Resolution and Manners can’t be sincere unless they have a high friendship with the other Sim, while nice Sims (Good, Polite, Mediator etc.) can’t be cruel unless they’re angry or pushed far enough.
Choose one of the interactions, and your Sim will send a text message to the picked Sim:
Then you need to keep checking if you've got a reply:
Based on the time that's passed, you'll see the message has been delivered and read. Your Sims may get different moodlets during the process, depending on the apologies you choose.
Eventually you'll receive a reply... And know if the other Sim accepts your apology.
If they decide to forgive you, both of you will receive friendship points and get a positive sentiments toward each other. This will also reduce or remove most of the negative sentiments that other Sim has toward you.
Otherwise, friendship points will be deducted, existing negative sentiments may become even stronger, depending on the text you send.
For teens and children, apologizing/accepting or declining an apology also affects their conflict resolution value.
There are dozens of random texts and replies and many buffs based on the apology you choose and the outcome.
Loyal Sims can also confess to cheating before their partner finds out:
For all Sims, if their partner is already in the know, they can choose to apologize for cheating or simply leave their partner.
All these texts have a 12-hour cooldown, but it’s only between the Sim who texted and the one they texted to. So while that cooldown is active, your Sim can still apologize to other Sims, and other Sims can still apologize to that Sim as well.
NPC Calling to Apologize (added Sep 7, 2025)
NPC Sims can call you to apologize if they've been not-so-nice to you lately. Their traits, character values and relationship with you influence their choice of calls.
How to Trigger
When NPC Sims are mean to you, at least one of the following conditions must be met for them to send an apology:
- You're in an abhorrent conversation.
- You're in a really bad mood (very sad, very tense, very angry etc)
- You get into a fight and lose.
They'll call you in 2-24 hours.
Answering the call triggers a 24-hour cooldown, preventing the same Sim from calling again, while hanging up may cause them to try again much sooner.
Types of Calls
Similar to texting to apologize, there're different kinds of calls that Sims may make, and each call has 3 to 6 variations. Their traits, character values and relationship with you influence their choices:
- Sincere apology
- AI apology (Lazy and irresponsible Sims tend to choose this call)
- Funny apology (Goofballs, cringy Sims, or Bro Sims you get along with tend to choose this call)
- Flirty apology (Requires an existing romantic relationship)
- Refusing to apologize unless you do it first (Childish Sims have a higher chance to choose this one)
- Insisting they were right and you were wrong
- Apologizing, but asking you not to overreact
- Telling you to get lost

If you use Black Sheep Trait, black sheep Sims will always receive mean calls unless they're from their protectors.

Compatibility
This mod doesn't override any in-game resources so it won't conflict with other mods.
You can have both this mod and the original Reconcile over Text in your Mods folder, but I don't recommend using them simultaneously on the same Sim. It's ok to use either one of them on different Sims at the same time though.
