Base game compatible. Parenthood is strongly recommended.
Black Sheep is a reward trait. The XML injector is required for it to show up in rewards store
It's available for teen and older and it conflicts with mean, grouch, evil and outgoing traits.
The gameplay is about: Being a social outcast, finding your onr true protector, and embracing a new life!
Chapter 1: Be a Social Outcast
First off, this trait makes it so:
-You gain friendship slower and lose friendship faster.
-Friendly, funny, mischief and mean interactions have a slightly higher chance to fail.
-Your confident moodlets' effect is halved, and sad moodlets are 1.5x more effective.
Most NPC sims will react negatively to your mere existence:
Whenever you're nearby, they will get a +0 angry buff that repeatedly refreshes itself until you leave the range. This buff greatly increases their chance to perform several mean interactions on you. Nearby sims who are mean, evil, grouchy or have low character value points in empathy and conflict resolution will cheer the bully.
This makes it extremely hard to befriend those sims. You should only be hanging out with sims in your household, or those who meet at least one of these conditions:
- Good, proper or loyal
- Compassionate or Mediator
- Have high character value scores in empathy or conflict resolution.
AND, they can't be bad, which means they can't be mean, evil, grouchy, insensitive or argumentative and their character value scores in empathy and conflict resolution can't be very low.
Those sims don't mind befriending a black sheep and won't get this buff.
Household sims also won't get this buff despite their traits.
Being a black sheep, you can belittle yourself for sympathy (NOT autonomous):
You can ask sims why they hate you if your friendship is below 20 and you're sad (NOT autonomous):
It has three different outcomes depending on the traits of the target sims. Each outcome comes with three varieties of notifications.
You can also attempt to ask sims if they want to hang out if your friendship is above 21 (NOT autonomous):
It also has three different outcomes and each outcome comes with three different notifications.
Chapter 2: Find Your Protector
It shouldn't be hard to make friends with those not affected by the Near Black Sheep buff. You can ask a Loyal sim to protect you once your friendship is above 95. Alternatively, they can offer to protect you as well:
By default your protector protects you for 1 day. If they have the Brave reward trait, then it will be extended.
Your protector needs to get stronger so they can ACTUALLY protect you! They need to hone their fitness skill.
Whenever you're near your protector, you get a confident buff too. This buff lingers up to 30 minutes after your protector leaves the range.
Once your protector has reached lv.9 in fitness, this buff will protect you from all kinds of mean interactions:
This means NPC sims will NOT be able to perform mean interactions on you either, negating the effect of the Near the Black Sheep buff. Although they'll still complain about your presence...
NOTE:
If your protector reaches fitness lv.9 only after being asked, they can't protect you from mean interactions until next time.
Chapter 3: Embrace a New Life
You have different interactions with your protector and sims who have been nothing but nice to you.
Ask them why they don't hate you when everyone else does, and you'll receive a warm message! (available only when you have certain positive moodlets that come with this mod)
Other Misc features:
You have a special relationship bit with your protector:
Your protector can perform a special interaction when the buff is active:
Your sim can consider their self-worth when they're sad. This is referred to as "Self-Loathing" and the outcome will most likely be negative. You'll get a buff and notification after that.
When you make a new enemy, you'll feel fine instead of angry:
When you have an unpleasant conversation, you get a sad buff instead:
