PlantSims are rarely appreciated for their Occult-ness, perhaps on account of their status as a temporary life state. Their under-appreciation should not discourage their proliferation and generational gameplay, however, seeing as PlantSims do have the potential for plenty of interesting adventures with their special motives and perks.
Following the inheritance rules established by Realm of Magic's own Spellcaster Bloodlines (see below), the bonuses received by PlantSims with PlantSim Bloodlines are as follows:
Weak PlantSim Bloodline:
- Water motive decays 10% slower
- Water motive increases 10% faster
- Hunger decays 10% slower
- Gardening Skill increases 10% faster
- Natural Living Skill increases 10% faster
Strong PlantSim Bloodline:
- Water motive decays 20% slower
- Water motive increases 20% faster
- Hunger decays 20% slower
- Gardening Skill increases 20% faster
- Natural Living Skill increases 20% faster
Ancient PlantSim Bloodline:
- Water motive decays 30% slower
- Water motive increases 30% faster
- Hunger decays 50% slower
- Gardening Skill increases 30% faster
- Natural Living Skill increases 30% faster
Non-PlantSim offspring with these bloodlines will still benefit from the last two bonuses at any level of the bloodline.
Inheritance rules are as follows: PlantSims without a bloodline will produce Weak PlantSim Bloodline PlantSims, Weak produces Strong, Strong produces Ancient, and Ancient produces more Ancients. These reverse if the Sim with the bloodline isn't actually a PlantSim. The level of the bloodline will only increase so long as the offspring is a PlantSim just like their parent(s).
The status of the PlantSim trait as one that does not persist naturally means you will need to rely on your mod(s) of choice to make those PlantSims persist. The game only recognizes the traits of the parent(s) at the moment of birth, so be sure your PlantSim is actively a PlantSim upon the child's birth if you want the bloodline to be inherited. If they were a PlantSim at any point before, when, or after the pregnancy started, but not at the moment of the child's birth, they will not be counted.
