Description
This mod overhauls the underlying occult system to remove many of the limitations surrounding occult hybrids, allowing multiple occult life states to coexist without the visual corruption, broken genetics, UI issues, and create-a-sim corruption that normally occur.
With this mod you can create Sims such as:
- Fully functional Fairy + Werewolf hybrids with completely independent wing and fur patterns that do not overwrite each other
- Mermaid hybrids which do not end up stuck swimming on land
- And any combination of any occults, including all of them at once
Babies can now inherit the fur and wing colors of their occult parents instead of gaining random patterns upon aging up. These traits are fully genetic and can continue to be passed down through future generations, even if the Sim never develops the corresponding occult life state.
The needs panel will now properly display the needs of hybrid Sims instead of becoming visual noise or being limited to displaying only a subset at a time. The included settings menu allows you to prioritize which special needs are shown and optionally hide orb or long-bar needs for specific occults.
An included settings menu allows you to configure additional functionality, including allowing babies to inherit multiple occult life states, removing the occult restriction from Servos, and disabling the green appearance of PlantSims.
Known Issues
- Engine Related
- EA's new Memory Boost feature may temporarily unload custom textures that are not currently in use. This primarily affects Werewolf + Fairy hybrids, where one form may occasionally render with a completely black custom texture. This is only a temporary rendering issue—the texture data itself is not lost or corrupted. Saving the game while the affected form is active and then reloading the save will restore the texture. Unfortunately, this appears to be an engine-level bug and cannot be completely fixed by the mod.
- High School Years
- Fashion Outfits may occasionally render incorrectly on the Werewolf form, causing random CAS parts to appear instead of the intended outfit. This is only a visual issue; the outfit itself is still intact. Removing and reapplying the outfit will restore its appearance.
