Infinite Self Discovery Moments

By default, the Growing Together expansion limits each Sim to only 3 Self-Discovery Moments for their entire life. This mod removes that lifetime limit, allowing your Sims to continue discovering and changing their personalities indefinitely.

This is particularly useful for Sims who begin with fewer than the normal number of personality traits, as they can now eventually catch up through additional Self-Discovery Moments. It also removes the pressure to "save" your limited moments for new traits instead of "wasting" them on trait swaps, since every opportunity is no longer permanently spent.

This mod does not increase the maximum number of personality traits a Sim can have. Once the trait limit is reached, future Self-Discovery Moments cannot add any new traits, but moments that swap existing traits (such as Lazy ↔ Active, Perfectionist ↔ Clumsy, or Non-Committal ↔ Loyal) will continue to function normally. Using a mod which raises the trait limit will allow additional self-discovery moments to add more traits to fill out the slots.

The mod is safe to add to or remove from existing saves.

How It Works

The game normally prevents additional Self-Discovery Moments by assigning a hidden trait to sims who have reached the limit which will prevent them from triggering any more self-discovery moments. This mod makes that hidden trait invalid for player-controlled Sims, causing the game to automatically remove it from your sims.

Additionally, the statistic that tracks how many Self-Discovery Moments a Sim has experienced is permanently locked at 0, even for sims who had previously reached the cap, so the game will always assume your sims have never had a self-discovery moment before and will never try to re-add the hidden trait which prevents the moments from triggering.
