Not Now, Stereo automatically turns off supported home stereos when their room has been empty for your chosen amount of time.
Features:
- Choose 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, or Off.
- Keeps music playing while Sims occupy the room or use the stereo.
- Resets the countdown when someone returns.
- Remembers your chosen setting.
How to use:
Click your stereo → Auto Shutoff → choose an option and confirm.
- Quick Quiet: 15 Sim minutes
- Peace & Quiet: 1 Sim hour
- Let It Play: 2 Sim hours (the default)
- Off: Disables automatic shutoff
Checks happen every five Sim minutes, so shutoff can occur up to five minutes after your selected delay.
Requirements & installation:
Requires The Sims 4, with Custom Content and Mods and Script Mods Allowed enabled. No XML Injector is needed.
- With the game closed, extract the download and place the SuoSoup_NotNowStereo folder directly inside Mods. Keep its .package and .ts4script together. Do not extract the .ts4script itself.
- When updating, replace both files, preserve your settings JSON, and remove any older separate timing packages.
Notes:
Designed for supported household-owned stereos on your home lot. Public venues, earbuds and DJ booths are outside its scope. Sleeping Sims still count as room occupants.
