No More Constant Outfit Changing: fix for patch 1.128.90

No More Constant Outfit Changing: fix for patch 1.128.90

Since the September 22 update, do your Sims keep changing clothes for no reason?

  - ๐ŸŠ Swimsuits swapped between Swim, Sunbathe and Snorkel
  - ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ Workout outfits changing at every machine
  - ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Pajamas re-rolled right before bed (toddlers do it several times)
  - ๐Ÿซ The outfit you picked for school swapped for another Everyday outfit as soon as they head out

That's a real bug in patch 1.128.90, and this small script mod fixes it.

  What's going on
After the patch, the game stopped keeping a Sim in the outfit they're already wearing when an activity needs the same
outfit category. Instead it rolls a brand-new random outfit from that category every single time. The more outfits a
category has, the more obvious it gets (a Sim with only one Sleepwear outfit won't show it).

  What the mod does
  - Brings back the rule the game had before the patch: if a Sim is already wearing an outfit from the category an
activity needs, they simply keep it.
  - Real outfit changes still happen: Everyday → Athletic when a workout starts, Sleepwear → Everyday in the morning,
    swimwear at the pool.
  - It doesn't lock outfits and doesn't touch Create-a-Sim, career uniforms or how outfits are picked in any other way.

  Compatibility
  - Script mod: "Script Mods Allowed" must be turned on (Game Options → Other).
  - Works with MCCC. MCCC has a similar safeguard for human Sims, so if you use it you may never have noticed this bug.
  - Adds nothing to your save, so you can remove it at any time.
  - If EA fixes this in a later patch, the mod simply stops doing anything and can be deleted.
  - Made for patch 1.128.90.

  Install
Put outfit_keep_current.ts4script into your Mods folder (one subfolder deep at most) and restart the game. A small
outfit_keep_current.log file appears next to it; a line starting with [INSTALL] means the mod loaded.

Still seeing a Sim change clothes when it shouldn't? Tell me which activity and your game version in the comments and
  I'll take a look.

I make gameplay mods for The Sims 4 โ€” mostly things I wish were already in the game. My main focus is gameplay and deeper systems. I also make some of the objects my mods need when I canโ€™t find anything suitable already made.
