Mussfis Home Awareness

!UPDATE: still working on version 1.128

A lightweight home-awareness script mod that automatically turns off unattended stereos and fireplaces on the active household's home lot.

The mod don't turn switched off devices on automatically. It also only acts while the currently loaded zone is the active household's actual home zone.

✦ Features

STEREOS — ROOM, SLEEP & AWAY AWARE

• If a HUMAN Sim is sleeping in a room, stereos in that room are turned off, even if another Sim in the same room is awake.
• If there are no awake HUMAN Sims in a room, stereos in that room are turned off.
• If at least one awake HUMAN Sim is in the room and nobody there is sleeping, the stereo is left untouched.
• Guests count for room occupancy.
• Pets do not count as HUMAN Sims and will not keep a stereo playing.
• If every HUMAN member of the active household is away from home or in a rabbit hole, all stereos are turned off even if visitors remain on the lot.

Tested stereo-family objects include standard stereos, boomboxes, portable/wireless stereos, gramophones, wall speakers, Smart Hub / smart speakers, and TV + stereo entertainment-center combos.

Ordinary televisions are not controlled by this mod.

✦ Fireplaces — Away  Aware

• Fireplaces are extinguished only when no HUMAN member of the active household is physically home.
• Sleeping Sims and room occupancy do not affect fireplaces.
• The mod never relights a fireplace.

• Script Mods enabled in The Sims 4 settings

✦  Installation

Place Mussfis_HomeAwareness.ts4script in your Mods folder.
Keep script mods no more than one folder deep.

✦ Compatibility

Should be compatible with CC-stereos and fireplaces.

If you modify, translate, adapt, fork, or publicly redistribute any version of this mod, you must:
