Lying Flat Trait

Lying Flat is a personality trait for Sims who value their free time and enjoy a slower pace of life. Work builds up pressure, while sleep and leisure help them unwind.

• Available for Young Adult, Adult, and Elder Sims.
• Conflicts with Ambitious, Freegan, Perfectionist, Overachiever, and Competitive.
• As of v1.0.1, Lying Flat no longer conflicts with Lazy or Loyal.

Work Pressure & Time to Unwind

Work and career daily tasks completed outside work hours build up Work Pressure. It fades slowly on its own, while sleep and leisure help reduce it. Reaching high pressure can bring a temporary Tense moodlet.

Sims can unwind by watching TV, playing video games, taking a bubble bath, and more. Leisure can also bring Happy moodlets, with a different moodlet for taking a break under high pressure.

A Different Attitude Toward Work

• Enjoy a slower workday. Using the standard Take It Easy work tone gives a Happy moodlet while it is active.
• Look forward to clocking out. Finishing a work shift can bring happiness at having their time back.
• Enjoy a morning off. Waking up in the morning on a day off can bring a Happy moodlet.
• Dread the next shift. Waking up with work approaching can bring tension, with the chance increasing as pressure builds.
• Feel pushed too far. Starting the standard Work Hard tone at high pressure can make them Angry.
• Have mixed feelings about promotion. More responsibility can bring tension.

Hobbies & Practice

• Lying Flat Sims learn Video Gaming, Fishing, Singing, Dancing, Bowling, Knitting, and Cross-Stitch 30% faster.
• Practicing certain skills, such as Programming or Guitar, for three continuous Sim hours gives a Bored +3 moodlet that lasts until the practice ends.

• Complain About Work Stress
• Suggest Taking It Easy

Wants

Trait-related Wants include taking a bath, watching TV, taking it easy at work, and taking a vacation day. Availability depends on your Sim's circumstances, including their career and vacation balance.

Requirements & Compatibility

• Base Game compatible. No additional packs are required.
• Package only. No XML Injector or other mods are required.
• With Growing Together, taking it easy for most of a shift builds less pressure, while working hard builds more. Without this pack, regular shifts add the same pressure regardless of work tone.
• With Growing Together, taking it easy won't increase your Sim's layoff risk compared with working normally. They can still lose their job for other reasons.
• These Sims value life outside work, so they won't develop the Workaholic Lifestyle (Snowy Escape) or Fear of a Dead-End Job.
• May conflict with other mods that change promotion Wants.

Installation

1. Download and extract the archive if needed.
2. Place non5yi_lyingflattrait.package in your Mods folder.
3. Enable Custom Content and Mods in Game Options.
4. Restart the game after changing this setting.
