Charming Facade Trait

Charming Facade is a personality trait for status-conscious social opportunists. These Sims study the people around them, learn what matters to them, earn their trust, and then use it to get what they want.

The act can be convincing, but if they push someone too far, the other Sim may start to see through the facade.

Charming Facade is available for Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder Sims.

A Relationship Based Trust System

Charming Facade introduces a separate, directional Trust system for every eligible relationship.

Trust is not the same as Friendship. A Sim may still like your Charming Facade Sim while becoming increasingly suspicious of their motives.

Trust develops through four states:

• Uncertain: The charm has not fully won them over. This state is not shown in the Sim Profile.
• Guard Lowered: Personal favors and emotional appeals become harder to refuse.
• Believes the Act: The target is ready to accept much greater demands and manipulation.
• Sees Through the Facade: Trust has worn thin, and the calculation behind the charm is becoming impossible to ignore.

Visible Trust states appear in the Sim Profile. Trust is persistent and relationship-specific.

Read the Room

Charming Facade Sims pay attention to status and opportunity.

They use what they already know about other Sims, such as their careers, personality traits, and color preferences, to choose the right approach.

Build Trust, Then Use It

As another Sim becomes more trusting, new requests and manipulation options become available.

Charming Facade Sims can ask for emotional, financial, social, or practical favors. If they push someone too far, they may also try to repair the damage.

Repeated requests are riskier and can lower Trust or Friendship.

They can also offer help themselves, building Friendship and Trust when they follow through.

Custom Wants

Charming Facade includes its own trait specific Wants.

Family Boundaries

Trait specific harmful and exploitative actions are restricted around close family members.

Requirements

• The Sims 4 Base Game
• No expansion pack is required
• Both the included .package and .ts4script files are required
• Script Mods must be enabled in the game settings

Installation

1. Download and extract the archive.
2. Place both non5yi_charmingfacadetrait.package and non5yi_charmingfacadetrait.ts4script in the same folder directly inside your Mods folder.
3. Enable Custom Content and Mods and Script Mods Allowed in Game Options.
4. Restart the game after changing these settings.
