Find the right item for your build more easily. Lucifer’s Better Buy adds sorting controls and adjustable catalog height directly to the familiar Build/Buy interface.
Click Sort items above the catalog to choose your sorting method. It uses the ratings shown on item cards and supports both EA objects and custom content that supplies suitable ratings.
Features
- Sort by price, from cheapest to most expensive or the reverse.
- Sort by available attributes, such as Comfort, Hygiene, Reliability, and Power or Water Efficiency.
- Compare items using Overall quality, an average of their available numeric ratings.
- Keep items with missing ratings at the end.
- View the ratings used for the selected sort.
- Restore the game’s original order with the reset button.
- Expand the catalog upward to display more rows.
Resize your catalog
Drag the centered grip upward, then release to expand the grid. Drag downward to shrink it, or double-click the grip to restore the default height. The default height is the minimum.
How overall quality works
The score averages available numeric ratings with equal weight and excludes price. For example, Comfort 5 and Environment 1 produce an average of 3.
This is a comparison tool rather than an official game quality score. Use category filters to compare similar objects.
Installation
Close the game, extract the download, and place the mod’s .package file in your Sims 4 Mods folder. Enable Custom Content and Mods, then restart.
No script mod, injector, or Lucifer’s AutoSave installation is required.
Beta and compatibility
Version 0.1.1 beta(ish) targets The Sims 4 PC 1.121.361.1020. Compatibility with newer patches has not been verified.
Sorting has been reported working. The latest popup styling, resizing refinements, and tile-reuse changes still need further in-game testing. Custom control text is currently English; attribute labels use the game’s language.
Mods that replace the same Build/Buy product catalog interface may conflict.
