Sims 4 Idle TV
Ambient TV and movie playback. No Sim activity needed!
Enhance any lot’s atmosphere with new TV interactions that let you play channels or movies passively in the background without requiring your Sim’s attention. Bring extra life into your environments beyond just residential lots, from bars and gyms to classic movie theaters.

The mod comes in two versions:
LSB_IdleTV_AutonomyOFF: Sims will not autonomously watch the current program or movie that is playing. Requires player direction to initiate viewing. NPCs don’t tune in on their own either, but can be included by forming a group and initiating the "watch together" interaction.
LSB_IdleTV_AutonomyON: Sims will autonomously tune into running programs or movies when conditions are met, just like you're used to. Idle playback will stop when a Sim actively ends viewing. To prevent this, I highly recommend using TV no auto turn off by HamsterBellBelle.
Installation: Just place ONE of the package files in your Mods folder.
Requires the XML Injector script (make sure script mods are enabled).
Notes:
The reworked channel and show names are currently only available in English. If you’d like to contribute a translation, I’d love to hear from you!
If you'd prefer to keep the original titles, download the corresponding ZIP file. In this version, the pie menu titles are auto-translated into all 18 available languages. If you spot any errors or have suggestions for improvements, let me know!
I’ve been a long time user of MizoreYukii’s Turn On TV mod and truly value what it brought to the game. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been updated in over three years, so I decided to step in and bring that functionality back myself.
If you already have their mod installed, remove it to avoid duplicate interactions.

For a cleaner interface experience, I recommend using Better Pie Menu by Andirz. The pie menu structure in my mod is inspired by their setup, so if you already have their mod installed, it will integrate nicely.

This is the first of my mods I haven’t thoroughly playtested myself. The dynamic interactions based on installed packs are particularly tricky to test, so please let me know if anything doesn’t work as intended.
