Sims will gain heralism skill during hiking.
The mod also fixes some oversights with hiking like not being able to hike with an infant on your Sim's back and hiking not reducing grief and stress and enhancing balance.
I got a smiliar mod for nature walks here that only requires Seasons (which is more popular than Outdoor Retreat).
