Apartment Lighting Fix (True Black)

After the release of Eco Lifestyle, a lighting change caused shells that use certain shaders to receive an effect intended for indoor furniture. This also affects apartment shells, causing them to appear visually distorted. Although this issue has been reported many times, it still has not been fixed by Maxis.

I attempted to create a workaround for the problem. The fix has a small tradeoff: as shown in the comparison images, dark rooms appear slightly darker because furniture no longer receives the unintended glow effect. Overall, this is a much closer match to the game's intended lighting.

Please upvote these issues, this game deserves the bare minimum fixing Lighting Bug Report[/url] and Apartment Walls for Residential Rentals

COMPATIBILITY

Not compatible with mods editing interior room shaders. I know not everyone likes the Vanilla Blue lighting by default, so I added a flavor variant that uses neutral lighting (meaning, the dark shadows in a room are a true black, not dark blue). Please use only one. This is the True Black variant.
