So, let's get another official alien related outfit back into the game, hm? Let's reach back into our closet and fish out the outfit that's been associated with common aliens in the Sims 2!
But why is it also labelled "Racer"? Well, that's the actual purpose of the outfit and I guess it was just slapped on to aliens after they were introduced. Well, we need alien clothes WAY more than we need stupid racing clothes for a career that doesn't exist in the Sims4, so these are set to be for aliens and to be random.
These were all WAY harder than I thought they'd be. I really thought I could just slap the Sims4 head on to the Sims 2 body and call it a day. Not so fast! The Sims2 body, unlike Sims3's, has VASTLY different proportions and these aren't baggy; they're skin tight. (Stupid sexy aliens!) So I did just what you're supposed to do with Sims2 conversions: I redid the UVs and texture map to work with the Sims4 models.
And I gotta say: ugh. Just ugh! I kept finding small imperfections that I've been continuously fixing - even today! But I'm calling it quits; this is as good as it'll get. It uses the nude body's texture mostly; I made the breasts for both less distinct. And, of course, I added in the sticky-outy parts from the original Sims2 mesh. I wish there was a jumpsuit that would work better, but there ain't. Gotta deal with it!
It's interesting to see this side by side with the Sims3 outfit. Even if this didn't start out as an alien outfit it really influenced the next game.
