Description

The Dutch Angle is a collection of carefully recreated Dutch household objects from the 1930s to the 1970s. Inspired by the clean lines of Nieuwe Zakelijkheid, Bauhaus, and postwar functionalism, the set brings together the furniture, electronics, and everyday items that defined generations of Dutch interiors.

Many of these designs were remarkably progressive for their time. When wood was the predominant material for furnature, tubular-steel, bakelite and never seen before inventions, like the cantilever chairs, challenged the traditional idea of furniture, modular shelving adapted to changing homes, and colourful household products proved that even ordinary objects could be practical and beautifully designed. Today they are celebrated as icons of Dutch design, but for decades they were simply the things people lived with every day.

Whether you're building a period European home, visualising historical architecture, or simply looking for authentic mid-century details, The Dutch Angle offers a glimpse into a uniquely Dutch approach to modern living.

  • I am a newbie, so there might be bugs or stuff that is usually done differently. I tried my best, but some things I've probably done wrong. Let me know, I'll try and fix things.
  • There was also a door (Bruynzeel), but I didn't get the bones to work right, it opend, but it looked wrong, so its not part of the package. If you know how to fix it and want to help me: please contact!
  • There are no lamps yet. Hala Zeist lamps will be featured in part 2, as soon as I fugured out how to make them.
  • The sims sit very upright in the easy chairs. I don't know how to make them lean back.
