My favorite Build/Buy item from Eco Lifestyle is 100% the cardboard storage box. It has its own unique inventory AND you can label it, which means that never again will you be plagued by life-or-death questions like "which of these five million boxes has my collectibles??" or "where did I leave my precious seed packets?!? 😱" What's not to love? The one (enormous, imo) downside is the HUGE super ugly "stickers" that take up two sides of the box. For some reason, EA decided to inflict those monstrosities on us without even giving us the option of having a boring, average, unassuming cardboard box.
So... I fixed it. :)
A couple quick notes:
- I made two different versions of this box. One is a standalone cardboard box (only that single swatch), and the other is an override version. The override merely adds a sticker-less swatch to the existing item so that, if you're like me and already have a ton of these boxes lying around your lot, you can simply change the swatch of an existing box to the stickerless one. (Because who wants to move a zillion crystals to a new box? 😑)
- You can download one or both of the files - they don't conflict with each other.
- I find this box to be offensively gigantic, but it sizes down nicely. You can use the
[ bracket or TMEX's TOOL mod to shrink it.
- The boxes don't naturally stack, but you can use the
9 and 0 keys to raise and lower the boxes to whatever height you prefer.
