I'll start by saying that it's crazy to me that the High School Years ice cream stall you can find at Plumbite Pier isn't actually available in build mode, even for Sims who have 1,800 Simoleons to spare! How rude. π
Okay, so here's what happenedβ¦
It all started when someone posted to a Discord server asking if anyone knew how to make the Plumbite Pier Ice Cream Stall functional. Shay (aka Shino Nox) forwarded that comment to me, suggesting I give it a shot. (Bless him for that vote of confidence. ππ) To be quite honest, I thought it would be as simple as locating the stall in debug and giving it ice cream stand tuning. I found the debug items (there were actually two pieces) and the corresponding tuning quickly, so obviously I was like "YEP got it! nice and easy!! i'm a genius." But when I had a Sim test it out, I made the grim discovery that they could buyβ¦ produce?? And debug candy. :) Not even a drop of ice cream in sight.
After a couple "fun" hours spent attempting to figure out what was wrong with this [Forbidden Words] tuning, I admitted defeat and asked Shay to take a look. Fortunately for my fragile self-confidence, it turned out to be a weirdly-complicated project that I'd never have been able to figure out on my own. π So Shay is the one y'all can thank for being able to buy ice cream, rather than carrots and apples and potatoes, etc. etc.. π₯ππ§
The Functional Plumbite Pier Ice Cream Stall can be found in build mode by searching "catamorphmagus" or "shinonox".
Please Note:
- The stall has two parts: a decorative outer shell that makes it look pretty, and the functional stall that goes inside it. You'll need to place both unless you don't mind it looking really stupid and/or being completely non-functional.
- You shouldn't need Move Objects in order to place the stall inside the shell, but if you have any issues go ahead and enable it.
Gameplay Tips:
- If you'd like to move the stall off-lot, you can use TOOL by TwistedMexi to do so. TOOL is not a beginner-friendly mod, so if you do decide to try it out just be aware that it's got a fairly steep learning curve. (Note: The stall and shell do not snap together when placed, meaning that if you use TOOL you'll need to select both objects.)
- I HIGHLY recommend you grab Kuttoe's NPCs Everywhere mod so that NPCs will spawn autonomously to tend the ice cream stall, rather than you needing to pay 100 Simoleons to "Hire Vendor" each time.

Thank you to rihplies for the idea! I have no clue why EA decided to randomly gatekeep an ice cream stall, of all things, but now it is liberated for all to use and enjoy. π₯°
