Description
Just like Shaker and Lennox kitchens, I like making a modern counterpart using the first kitchen as a base then changing up the front design to give a different look. Essa is that modern counterpart to Mina Kitchen. I also wanted to try a few new things with this set like a seamlessly open upper cabinet and a large all-glass pendant. I really love the simple design of this kitchen and will be another great option for the modernist amongst us.
What you need to know:
- Firstly, I changed the shader of the cabinets so grab my Default Replacement No Occluder Appliances package file to solve any shadow issues
- You MUST have the standard kitchen counter with usable space. Due to tuning, sims cant use the left and right end pieces for food prep (as much as i tried) so keep those for appliances and for sinks. If you have none of the standard "drawer and cupboard" counters in your kitchen your sim will not be able to prep food (goes for both counter and island).
- To use the granite style counters and islands, you need the marble version in your mods folder since that contains the main textures
- The pedant includes both the opaque and clear glass styles together, just choose the option with white for the opaque version
- the open cabinets are seamless, except for the pantry and half-height styles which have end caps.
