In the base game, a goblin camp is pretty predictable. Every enemy is basically the same version of that enemy.
Elite Enemies changes that.
About one in four humanoid enemies has a chance to spawn as a stronger variant. These aren’t just recolors with more health either. Elite enemies are bigger, more aggressive, and their name tells you exactly what you’re dealing with.
Instead of just seeing “Goblin Runt,” you might run into a Champion Goblin Runt, an Elite Goblin Runt, or even a Superior Goblin Runt.

They also fight more aggressively than normal enemies. A regular goblin tends to hang back around 230 units away, while a Superior will push in to around 90. So stronger enemies don’t just take longer to kill, they actually feel more dangerous to fight.
The scaling also uses systems already built into the game. Health and damage are based on the game’s own AI power levels, so elite enemies scale naturally alongside everything else.
Rewards work the same way. Elites drop extra copies of their faction’s normal loot pack. Goblins give goblin loot, Garou give Garou loot, and so on. Stronger tiers simply give you more of it, along with a few extra rewards.
In co-op, everyone who helped kill the enemy gets the full reward. You never get punished for fighting something together.
What can become an elite?
Humanoid combat enemies, including:
Goblins, Garou, Skeletons, Zombies, Zogres, Vault Guardians, Black Knights, Zamorakians, Imaru’s minions, and their Scorned Wilderness and Dowdun Reach variants.
Goblin types include Runt, Melee, Ranged, Shield, Sentry, and Poison Ranger.
What stays normal?
Animals are completely untouched, including chickens, cows, deer, kebbits, rams, sheep, giant rats, wolves, magpies, ravens, and chinchompas.
Bosses, quest enemies, tutorial enemies, vault statues, and tamed animals are also excluded.
So your farm stays safe, and important encounters aren’t randomly turned into something they weren’t designed to be.
Co-op should work with this mod as well, as it uses the seed to determine the enemies that turn into variants.
