In the base game, armor weight matters, but matching armor sets really don’t. Wearing a Rune helmet, Iron legs, and a Mithril body works the same as wearing full Rune.
Armor Reforged changes that.
Wear a full matching set: helmet, body, and legs, and you’ll get a bonus based on that armor’s weight and tier. Capes don’t matter. Swap out even one piece and the bonus goes away.

The mod checks your equipment about once per second, so bonuses update almost instantly.
These bonuses aren’t custom-made effects either. The game already has nine armor set bonuses built in, and Armor Reforged puts them to use:
Light Armor: Faster stamina recovery → faster magic attacks → +15% magic crit chance
Medium Armor: Faster sneaking → cheaper ranged attacks → increased weak-point damage
Heavy Armor: Cheaper blocking → increased crit chance after blocking → increased damage against staggered enemies
Armor tier determines which bonus you get:
Tiers 1–3: First bonus
Tiers 4–6: Second bonus
Tiers 7–8: Third bonus
That means even your early Adventurer gear gives you a small reward for completing the set, while something like full Rune gives you a bonus actually worth working toward.
All 38 multi-piece armor sets in the game are supported.
Installation Instructions
1. Install UE4SS for RuneScape: Dragonwilds from Nexus Mods HERE (tested with v3.0.1 Beta, build 0196ef29). Extract it into RSDragonwilds\RSDragonwilds\Binaries\Win64, so that dwmapi.dll sits next to RSDragonwilds-Win64-Shipping.exe.
2. Open armor-reforged-1.0.0.zip:
- Copy the ArmorReforged folder into RSDragonwilds\RSDragonwilds\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods.
- Optional, for the UI changes/on-screen armor set panel: copy the LogicMods folder into RSDragonwilds\RSDragonwilds\Content\Paks (merge it if one is already there).
3. Start the game.
