neoQuestAnnouncer is a lightweight addon for Runes of Magic that automatically announces your quest progress to party and raid chat. Keep your group informed about your questing activities or use it for daily quests with your alt army!

Usage

Getting Started

1. Install the addon and reload your UI
2. Look for the neoQuestAnnouncer button near your minimap
3. Left-click the minimap button to activate/deactivate announcements
4. Right-click the minimap button to access quick settings

Slash Commands

All commands start with /nqa:

Basic Controls

• /nqa activate - Turn on quest announcements
• /nqa deactivate - Turn off quest announcements
• /nqa enable - Enable the addon
• /nqa disable - Disable the addon completely

Configuration

• /nqa settings - Open the settings menu
• /nqa status - Display current configuration
• /nqa toggle minimap - Show/hide minimap button

Message Type Toggles

• /nqa toggle start - Toggle quest start messages
• /nqa toggle step - Toggle quest progress messages
• /nqa toggle stepcomplete - Toggle objective completion messages
• /nqa toggle complete - Toggle quest completion messages
• /nqa toggle daily - Toggle daily quest count messages

Other Commands

• /nqa version - Show addon version
• /nqa reset - Reset all settings to defaults
• /nqa help - Display all available commands

Configuration

Default Settings

By default, the addon will announce:

• ✅ Quest progress updates
• ✅ Quest objective completions
• ✅ Quest completions
• ❌ Quest starts (disabled by default)
• ❌ Daily quest counts (disabled by default)

Behavior Options

Configure how the addon behaves when joining groups:

• Party Behavior: Choose what happens when joining a party
• Raid Behavior: Choose what happens when joining a raid
• Login Behavior: Set initial state on login

Each can be set to:

• on - Auto-activate announcements
• off - Auto-deactivate announcements
• leave - Remember previous state

Important Notes

• Announcements only work when you're in a party or raid group
• The addon must be both enabled AND activated to send messages
  • Enabled = Addon is running
  • Activated = Currently sending announcements to party/raid chat
