Emberlens is a fork of Oculus. But less CPU work and garbage every frame, and unique features for further control etc.
Forge 1.20.1 | Client only | Requires Emberbium
Features

- Normally Create's moving parts (shafts, cogs, belts, contraptions) fall back to a slow CPU path as soon as you load a shader pack. Emberlens keeps Create's fast GPU rendering on with shaders, no patched shader packs or extra addons needed.
- Big factory with Solas shaders: 82 to whole 211 fps. Spinning parts don't show block-breaking cracks under shaders yet, I'll get to it :P

- New slider in Video Settings > General, under Max Shadow Distance. Redraw the shadow map every frame, or every 2, 3 or 4 frames.
- This might cause flickers with some shaders. I will be working on this mod more in the future to fix all weird issues of course.

- Found with a profiler, shader pack loaded, then fixed one by one: sampler unbinds, uniform uploads, matrix math, GPU memory barriers, tangents etc etc. All of them basically work better.
- Much less garbage per frame, which is what "stutters" are.

- The shader vertex format is handed to Emberbium once, through its own hook.
- That is why Emberlens needs Emberbium. It will not work on Embeddium or other forks.

- Emberlens still loads as
oculusand providesiris, so addons work just fine. - Your
oculus.propertiesand shader pack settings carry over too.
Benchmark

Measured with a profiler on the same modpack with a shader pack loaded, RX 9070 XT. These are separate play sessions, so don't trust them completely, your pc WILl perform differently.

Install: remove Oculus, add Emberlens and Emberbium. Never run Emberlens and Oculus together.
