Silent Gear Jade Tiers

Silent Gear Jade Tiers is a small compatibility addon for Jade and Silent Gear.

It displays the Silent Gear mining / harvest tier required for the block you are looking at directly inside Jade's block tooltip. This is useful for modpacks with custom mining progression, custom Silent Gear materials, or heavily modified harvest tiers.

What it does

- Adds Silent Gear tier information to Jade block tooltips
- Helps players understand which tool tier is required before mining a block
- Reads the loaded Silent Gear material tier data
- Works well in progression-based modpacks
- Keeps the information visible in-game without requiring players to check external spreadsheets or quest notes

Main use case

This addon was made for modpacks that use Silent Gear as the main tool progression system and need clearer harvest tier feedback for players.

It is especially useful when vanilla tool tiers are not enough, or when a pack defines many custom progression tiers.

Notes for modpack creators

This addon is intended to support custom progression packs. If your pack changes Silent Gear materials, mining tiers, or block harvest requirements, this addon helps expose that information clearly through Jade.

• The addon reads live Silent Gear material data.
• For correct display, custom progression materials should define:
  • harvest_tier.name
  • harvest_tier.level_hint
  • harvest_tier.incorrect_blocks_for_tool
• If mining results look wrong, check your incorrect_for_*_tools.json tags and use "replace": true when overriding Silent Gear’s default progression tags.
