The room I added near the end of the map for a mix of 'wrong answers are useful' type of focus. Where the correct answer gives the pressure plate (as usual), but the wrong answers give potion effects that are useful to navigate the room in some way.
Room 3 to show that the rooms vary in style and block types to make each room more interesting instead of the same from room to room.
Room 1 and it's sign instructions/hints (hints are for what type question approach your after).
A quiz question room, particular details hidden in the map (not counting the 2 secrets) are used as questions to test what you know about the map. Like a different button, can I build the map symmetrically, the map 'formation', questions like that.
Description
Release Trailer (to not showcase the outside due to spoilers/map answering later on, but to give an idea of the map's presentation & 'quirks'):
Playthrough by Avatar2003 Official (where you can also see how awkward my map can be for spelling mistakes and design oversights but oh well it's my first attempt at a map like this and first public map/map I've made in a long time):
Inspiration:
This map was inspired by "Trevor's What Doesn't Belong" and similar maps to it.
Core Focus of the Map:
I came up with the idea one day to add a 'directional' addition to the map where you not only work out the answers to the questions of what difference/similarities there are between the items/blocks. But also keeping track of the direction the exit takes you becomes a priority. (This is what the book at the beginning of the map is for, while you can ignore this and just answer the observational map questions at the end, if you want to use this go ahead. It might feel like an idea with not much implementation but I wanted to try something at least and this was the result).
Secrets done by parkour at the end of the map through the exit:
There is 2 secrets in the map too if after you complete the map's "" amount of rooms and the extras in the latest room, you want to do a bit more. The 2 secrets are found on the outside of the map itself and have no real purpose other than being for extra things to do/fun I guess. So besides the quiz/puzzle aspect, there is the outside secret parkour map navigation too.
Rules:
-Play in survival when placing pressure plates or using the blocks/items in chests in some rooms like the one with the sign on glass, where you can get feedback.
-Beds to set spawn and a 'time set day' command for those that need it.
-There is also milk to use if the effects get annoying, this has been removed in my later maps due to it annoying myself and I assume other players too (sorry about that). But junk items will still be a thing besides explanations.
Let me know what you think below 'once you have finished the map' (yes I know one of the 'extra' rooms questions has no answer buttons. That was in the Beta, though, it has now been fixed in the Full Release XD)
As per usual, I'm always after feedback for the Map. And DON'T REPOST THE MAP OR THE RELATED FILES TO OTHER SITES. IF YOU WANT IT TO BE ON MINECRAFT MAPS.COM OR SOMEWHERE ELSE LET ME KNOW BUT DON'T POST IT YOURSELF.
