Misplaced | a backrooms horror map [​Beta v7.0.6] The poolrooms update December 23rd 2024

New content:

  • Added campaign mode poolrooms
  • Added winter lobby!

Updated:

  • Updated habitable zone on campaign mode
  • Players can no longer bring "wireless fuse" item beyond abandoned laboratory on campaign mode
  • The scorch model parts are now taged as "thescorch"

Multiplayer updated:

  • Adjusted VS mode map items cooldown:
  • Decoder (Map 1) | 240 seconds → 60 seconds
  • EMPulse (Map 1) | 120 seconds → 30 seconds
  • Portable radio (Map 2) | 100 seconds → 50 seconds

VHS mode [​Alpha 1.1]

  • Adjusted stamina drain when jumping: until 350 → until 400
  • Nerfed some parkour spots
  • Added a camera static effect when being near entities
  • Added new entity: The scorch
  • Added random ambience sound effects
  • Added a new location: the poolrooms
  • Added secret save states (can be found hidden across the map)
  • Added a checkpoint display on VHS lobby
  • Updated industrial fan model

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where players would get experience orbs at the map lobby, ruining stamina mechanic
  • Fixed the scorch model and animations being broken
  • Fixed on death function reseting all players
  • Fixed campaign mode poolrooms lighting glitch
  • Fixed "wireless fuse" item being removed all at once when being used against tripod
  • Fixed jukebox at the map lobby not requiring a music disc to work

[​VHS bug fixes]

  • Fixed VHS players getting a duplicated flashlight
  • Fixed save states room sign when a game is in progress
  • Fixed players being able to see each other when invisible
  • Fixed multiple industrial fan models spawning
  • Fixed issues related with not setting the second checkpoint
  • Fixed random iron trapdoor being updated by flashlight
  • Fixed players being able to enter the game while the introductory cutscene was being played
  • Fixed players being able to enter save state room while a game was in progress
  • Fixed players being able to exit vhs mode while on cutscenes
  • Fixed bugs when players used /kill command while playing VHS mode

Removed:

  • Removed old map plan signs
  • Removed "Play starting cinematic" sign to avoid bugs on multiplayer
