Townstead: Spanish Translation

This project provides a Spanish translation for Townstead 0.8.0, designed for Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1 running with Forge.

The goal is to make Townstead more accessible to Spanish-speaking players by translating its available in-game content, including names, descriptions, messages, dialogue, quests, achievements, and other language entries.

Required Dependencies

The following mods are required for the intended setup:

1. MCA Reborn – Download on CurseForge

2. Townstead 0.8.0 – Download the exact version on CurseForge

3. Architectury API – Download on CurseForge

Important: This project is a translation, not a standalone mod. Townstead requires MCA Reborn and Architectury API for the intended setup. Make sure all required mods are installed with versions compatible with Minecraft 1.20.1 and Forge.

The original Townstead mod must be installed for this translation to work.

Supported Spanish Languages

The resource pack includes support for regional Spanish language options, such as:

• Spanish (Spain) – es_es

• Spanish (Mexico) – es_mx

• Spanish (Argentina) – es_ar

• Spanish (Chile) – es_cl

• Other included regional Spanish variants.

All supported regional variants use the same Spanish (Spain) translation. They are not individually adapted to each country's vocabulary.

What Does This Project Include?

This project contains two separate ZIP files:

1. Resource Pack

File: Townstead_Español-0.8.0-1.20.1.zip

Translates the content handled by Minecraft's language system, including:

• User interface and menus.

• Items and blocks.

• Messages and descriptions.

• Books and other language entries.

It supports the included regional Spanish language options (es_es, es_mx, es_cl, es_ar, etc.).

2. Datapack

File: Townstead_Español-0.8.0-1.20.1_datapack.zip

Translates additional content that Townstead stores in its data folder, such as:

• Achievements.

• Quests and missions.

• Dialogue and other additional text entries.

This content cannot be translated through a standard resource pack, so a separate datapack is provided.

Both files are complementary and are recommended for the complete Spanish translation experience.

Installation

Resource Pack

1. Download Townstead_Español-0.8.0-1.20.1.zip.

2. Place the ZIP file inside your Minecraft resourcepacks folder. Do not extract it.

3. Launch Minecraft and open Options → Resource Packs.

4. Enable the Townstead Spanish Translation pack.

5. Set your game language to Spanish or one of the supported regional Spanish variants.

Datapack

1. Download Townstead_Español-0.8.0-1.20.1_datapack.zip.

2. Place the ZIP file inside your world's saves/<your world>/datapacks folder. Do not extract it.

3. Enter your world and execute /reload.

4. Check that the datapack is enabled by executing /datapack list.

For new worlds: You can also drag the ZIP file into the datapack selection screen when creating a new world.

Multiplayer Servers

• Datapack: Install Townstead_Español-0.8.0-1.20.1_datapack.zip inside the datapacks folder of the server's world and execute /reload. Players do not need to install the datapack individually.

• Resource Pack: Each player must install Townstead_Español-0.8.0-1.20.1.zip in their own Minecraft client.

Translation Notes and Known Limitations

This project is currently under development and testing.

The translation is automatically generated with the assistance of locally run AI translation tools. Some translations may contain errors, unnatural phrasing, spelling mistakes, or inconsistent terminology. If you find any issues, please report them in the comments.

Color codes and game variables are protected during the translation process to help prevent formatting problems, broken text, or unexpected crashes.

Important limitations:

• Text written directly inside the mod's source code is not translated.

• Some visual issues may occur, such as text overflowing buttons, being cut off, or not fitting correctly within certain menus.

• The translation is specifically designed for Townstead 0.8.0. New or modified text introduced in other versions may remain in English.

The translation tools and scripts used for this project are continuously being improved. Future updates will focus on translation quality, terminology consistency, coverage, and overall accuracy.

This project does not intentionally modify gameplay mechanics, textures, models, or other mod functionality.
