The only realistic texture pack at default resolution!
Includes (most) blocks, items, armors, mobs, weather, particles, complex biome colors, custom lighting, custom clouds and sky, a stylish, minimalist graphical interface and a few add-ons with optional variations.
Realistic colors, subtle shading, seamless tiling, unbelievable detail, everything was designed to make Minecraft look more real without sacrificing its blocky style. This is not your average flat, amateurish 16x pack!
- If you like something from my pack don't ask me if you can use it but tell me and I will consider releasing it as an add-on pack for anyone to use. You can then suggest people to use my add-on together with your own pack. For example, I released the light maps as a standalone pack, Pixel Reality Luminance.
- If you want to let people know of this pack do it by posting a link to this this page, so I get credit and downloads.
NOTE: you don't need mods to correctly view this pack in game, but if you use Optifine you'll enjoy a much better experience, especially regarding lighting, colors and sky effects.
The Pixel Reality family
This pack features lighting effects only, all textures stay vanilla. Excellent if you just want a more realistic experience but don't care for different graphics. Includes many versions, from full changes to lightmaps to realistic shadows only.
Adds a realistic sky to vanilla or any pack, of any resolution.
This pack is also available for Minecraft Bedrock Edition (Win10/console/mobile): Pixel Reality
Is a more recent, 1.19 version of the pack planned ? I've got some problems with block breaking (when being broken, they change to be grey instead of the right texture), and would appreciate to play with my favorite pack with recent versions of the game
Thank you for answering to my question :D
In reply to Zirion01100:
I don't plan updating the pack, anyway I just gave it a try on 1.19.2 and the breaking texture works normally. If it's not a mod interfering with it, it might be a different resource pack you're using together with it.
Thank you for your work with this resource pack! The items are a bit too realistic for my tastes but the overall look of the world is simply great. The faded, less saturated colors give the world a somewhat gritty look and the lighting changes are just great!
That said, it seems even the latest version for 1.12.2 still has some kind of problem with yellow concrete. I've tried every block and every other type of concrete works just fine, but yellow concrete appears as the purple and black "missing texture" block.
For the sake of testing out things I even downloaded both the 1.12.2-2 and the 1.12.2-3 packs and yellow concrete shows as a missing texture in both.
In reply to Crag_Kao:
Thanks, I just uploaded a new version that should fix that.
In reply to Wedhro:
Just tested it, everything works perfectly now. Thank you!
Okay so you said it was for 1.17 but when I used it in 1.17 there was a lot of things from 1.17 that had regular minecraft texture
In reply to topatoponyman:
It's a beta, meaning it's incomplete. It's mostly a compatibility update because people wanted to use my textures on 1.17 and I warend them it wasn't fully done (and probably it never will), but they insisted so here we are.
In reply to Wedhro:
I may have not read that part

In reply to Wedhro:
it is an amazing pack and i love everything about it, please if you finish it I will attempt a backflip on my youtube channel with 40 subs
In reply to Wedhro:
It's odd that you would call this realistic, it's very abstracts to be realistic simply cuz of the fact that it's pixelart. I would personally describe this as dark(fantasy) tbh.
In reply to eltrew:
That's because people think that "realistic" means only high-res. This pack attempts to prove you can get realistic palettes, shading etc. even at default resolution. It's not pixel art because that's way more abstract, with limited color palettes and a cartoonish style.
Anyway, it's been 10 years and you're the first to complain about that 😆
In reply to Wedhro:
Well 1st i'm not complaining about you pack cuz think it looks great,
2nd No, Pixel art just means any art edited on a pixel level, you argument is about the same as insisting that even though you painted a painting with oil paint it's not an oil painting because most of the oil paintings are impressionist.
3rd a lot of anime and western animation has "realistic" shading, shadows, lighting, and the ones with a darker tone usually also palettes, but that doesn't mean you call them realistic
maybe you can argue that it's realistic in a sense that the styling is mimicking real life objects or objects plausible in real life which isn't and invalid argument since from what i can tell from the pictures the swords seem to be designed after real life sword designs, but my point is that you are underselling you own art.
In reply to eltrew:
Kind of. I started designing this pack back in 2011 because I felt the game could have looked much more similar to the real world even at 16x resolution, and that many things didn't look like they should look in real life. That's why it's "Pixel Reality": a middle ground between pixel art and the real world.
Hi Wedhro! How is it going for your pack? is there plan to release another version? good luck with this and the rest!
In reply to michellebaboulinet:
Thanks but no, I'm playing 1.8.9 and I'm not interested in updating my pack to newer versions.
In reply to Wedhro:
Dude this pack looks amazing in 1.17, if you won't update it then why not ask someone else to update it? There are plenty of people that would be willing to work on your pack since it looks so good for a 16x pack. Don't update it for yourself, update it for us, the 300k people who would love to see it happen, and so you stop getting the same comments again and again.
PLEASE bro this shit looks good and doesn't eat my FPS I am BEGGING you to at least go find someone willing to work on it if not work on it yourself!
In reply to Delfacted:
Thanks for you kind words. Actually I'm updating it every once in a while for my own use so it's higly incomplete (basically no new mobs nor most of new blocks/items) and I drastically changed things I didn't like, which people might not be ok with, but I could upload that as a beta. I have no time to accept requrests as I used to do, though, and if something is inconsistent, well, people will have to deal with it.
strange but leaves getting cubic and non transparent when thaumcraft installed

this texture would looks just perfect with terrafirmacraft+, sadly, the mod is too big and idk if are you even interested lol
