This is the official editable resource-pack foundation for PickLoot.

Recolor the cards. Redesign the rarity diamonds. Replace the selection sound. Match a medieval RPG, a futuristic adventure, a cozy survival pack or an interface that exists nowhere else.

Start with a working, optimized template instead of reverse-engineering the HUD.

🎨 WHAT YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE

The template exposes every supported PickLoot presentation layer:

• Normal loot-card frame & Selected loot-card frame
• Flat and semi-inclined 3D presentation
• Pickup-key background and border
• Temporary controls tutorial
• Normal, common, rare, epic and legendary diamonds
• Tintable masks for configuration-driven rarity colors
• HUD labels and translations
• Item-selection sound

Note: The pickup letter is rendered by PickLoot, so it always follows the player's configured key. Do not bake a fixed letter into the texture.

💎 FIVE RARITY DIAMONDS—OR AS MANY COLORS AS YOU NEED

The pack contains two 16×16 resources for every automatic level:

• Colored sprites preserve the exact palette painted by the resource-pack artist.
• Masks preserve shape, transparency and highlights while PickLoot applies configurable RGB colors.
• Item- and tag-specific colors can be defined through config/pickloot-rarities.json.

The included RARITY_TABLE_1.21.1.md explains PickLoot's complete automatic hierarchy for Minecraft Java 1.21.1. The resource pack changes appearance; configuration examples change item-specific colors; changing the built-in Java hierarchy requires recompiling the mod.

🤖 READY FOR AI-ASSISTED EDITING

The ZIP includes AI_RESOURCE_PACK_GUIDE.md, a maintenance contract written so another AI can safely edit or repair the pack. It explains:

• Which file controls each visible element, exact PNG dimensions and paths
• Alpha-channel, pixel-art requirements and nine-slice metadata
• Flat/3D compatibility, rarity sprite and mask behavior
• Custom sound replacement, configuration placement and ZIP validation

It also contains a reusable prompt. Give the ZIP to an AI, describe the visual change you want and ask it to follow the guide before editing.

⚡ PERFORMANCE-SAFE BY DESIGN

Minecraft 1.21.1 repeats the center of a nine_slice texture instead of stretching it. Tiny source frames with a 1×1 center can produce thousands of fragments per card and severely reduce FPS. This template avoids that trap:

• Active cards are pre-expanded to 176×28.
• The tutorial frame is pre-expanded to 176×42.
• Small key elements remain 16×16.
• Metadata dimensions match the active PNG files.
• Pixel art uses nearest-neighbor expansion with preserved corners and transparency.

Compact design sources may be kept outside assets, but do not distribute them as the active long card texture without optimization.

🧰 CONFIGURATION EXAMPLES INCLUDED

The config-examples directory includes ready-to-edit examples for:

• Configuration-compatible client settings & Native NeoForge client settings
• Smart-filter whitelist and blacklist
• Unlimited custom item/tag rarity colors

These files do not apply while left inside the resource-pack ZIP. Copy the desired examples to the Minecraft or modpack config directory. (The smart filter is disabled by default. Players can enable it with its configurable PickLoot key).

📁 IMPORTANT ZIP STRUCTURE

Do not place everything inside an extra wrapping folder. Do not remove or modify:

• LICENSE
• assets/pickloot/pickloot_template.json
• assets/pickloot/pickloot_license.txt

PickLoot validates the licensed template marker and embedded license during resource reload. An invalid protected replacement falls back safely to PickLoot's built-in procedural HUD.

📦 HOW TO USE THE TEMPLATE

1. Install PickLoot for NeoForge 1.21.1.
2. Download PickLoot-Creator-Resource-Pack-3.5.0.zip and extract a working copy.
3. Read the guides and edit the designated PNG, language, and sound files.
4. Compress the contents (not the containing folder) back into a ZIP.
5. Place the ZIP in .minecraft/resourcepacks.
6. Enable it above other packs that modify assets/pickloot and press F3 + T to reload.

Requirements: Minecraft Java 1.21.1, NeoForge, and PickLoot 3.5.0 or newer. (This resource pack does not replace or include the PickLoot mod. The JAR is required).

❓ QUICK FAQ

Can I use the template privately?
Yes. Private customization is permitted under the included license.

Can the pack change PickLoot gameplay settings?
No. Resource packs control visuals, translations and sounds. Gameplay values belong in the config files supplied as separate examples.

Does it work in flat and 3D modes?
Yes. Current PickLoot versions share the main card and selected-card assets across both modes.

Can I use my own rarity colors?
Yes. Paint the five colored sprites, tint the masks through PickLoot's configuration, or assign item/tag-specific colors in pickloot-rarities.json.

Can an AI redesign it for me?
Yes. Provide the complete ZIP and require the AI to follow AI_RESOURCE_PACK_GUIDE.md before making changes.

May I publish my edited version?
Distribution of modified or derivative protected material is governed by the included custom LICENSE. Read it completely before publishing or monetizing a variant.
