It's been a long time since I've updated or worked on this, but thought I'd release *potentially* the final version. (Though, I REALLY want to do a texture for Mycelium, so there may be another. LMK if you want anything particular)

I've been using this version since 2019 at least, so it's not entirely new.

I got busier with school, graduated, and now am a software developer. Not sure I'll spend time updating this in the future.

I really enjoyed making this and getting great community feedback, thank you all for the encouragement!

Because of this I HIGHLY RECCOMEND using this texture pack OVER TOP of another 32-64x Faithful, or cartoony texture pack. (I've used the original faithful, the old Faithful 64x, but don't remember which of the latest are scam/ripoff/stolen copies, so I can't recommend one particularly.) I used to use it with Sphax PureBDCraft 64 behind it sometimes, they now have a VanillaBDCraft which is even better for this purpose!

Update Log:

I fixed wood and leaf textures, (seems every few updates to textures these break or are renamed by Mojang, lol)

added stone bricks,

nether bricks,

mossy cobble,

added all colors of concrete and terracotta,

added endstone and obsidian textures,

and more!

On the Status of this texture pack

Unfortunately, I didn't get around to a ton of mobs (other than sheep) or items (other than slime balls for some reason)

On top of that, since 2019, Minecraft updates have made making and updating texture packs near impossible for the hobbyist.

Anything past Minecraft 1.8 is basically modded Minecraft with how many thousands of new textures I would have to update.

In that, I mean, there are so many new variations of resources that fill your inventory, which each have their own new texture, and a very new feel compared to OG Minecraft.

Great adventure and discovery and keeping Minecraft feeling new for veterans, but not great for people trying to complete a full texture pack.

It's just discouraging, unfortunately, for those of us who do it alone, do it for fun, and are in no way graphic professionals. (I made all of this on Gimp, lol)

And don't get me wrong, I like some of the new features that Minecraft has added, (though, the chat reports is extremely concerning from a privacy/security/freedom perspective)

I even play the latest version, but for textures, it's no longer viable to make your own custom unless you put a year of work into it.

(Remember when Minecraft textures used to be all loaded from one big png file? The good ol days!)

I may update this more later, so go ahead and follow or subscribe, if you like it, worst things worst you never get any notifications for this being updated!

Let me know if you like it, and want more!

P.S. This may just be me not having time, if you already spend a lot of your free time on Minecraft or playing games, you might as well do something creative and make a texture pack!

Worst things worst you end up making something like this, something you love, something incomplete, but also something others are proud of you for. :)

Please don't let this discourage you in your creative endeavors! But know the path is a lot harder now than when I started! lol

Keep your head up,

Pecola1
