# ModJP - Japanese Translation Pack for Mods
**A resource pack that translates English-only mod text into Japanese.**
For Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge. Adds Japanese translations for **470+ mods (about 93,000+ strings)**.

## Features
- **Never modifies mod jars**
It is a plain resource pack, so updating your mods will not break anything. Remove it and everything goes back to normal.
- **Never overrides official Japanese translations**
Japanese translations already bundled with a mod are kept as they are. This pack only fills in the missing entries.
- **Mods you don't have are simply ignored**
You don't need all 470+ mods installed. Only the mods you actually have are translated.
- **Checked for display issues**
Formatting codes such as `%s`, color codes (§) and line breaks are verified to match the original text exactly.
## How to use
1. Put the downloaded zip **without extracting it** into your instance's `resourcepacks` folder
(CurseForge app: right-click the instance → "Open Folder" → `resourcepacks`)
2. Set **Options → Language** to "日本語" (Japanese)
3. In **Options → Resource Packs**, move "MOD日本語化パック" to the right side (enabled)
Place it **above** other resource packs.

It also covers many mods from the ATM8 and ATM11 packs, including AE2 addons, Mekanism addons, RFTools, Botania addons, Ars Nouveau addons and Hex Casting addons.
## FAQ
**Q. Some text is still not in Japanese.**
A. Either that mod (or that mod version) is not supported, or the entry is intentionally left in English, such as built-in developer test text, song titles, or entries made only of symbols or model numbers.
**Q. Can I use it together with other Japanese translation packs?**
A. Yes. If two packs translate the same entry, the one placed higher on the Resource Packs screen wins.
**Q. Does it work on versions other than 1.20.1?**
A. It is made for 1.20.1. Parts of it may work on other versions, but this is not guaranteed.

# MOD日本語化パック (ModJP)
**英語のまま表示されているMODの文字を、日本語にするリソースパックです。**
Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge 向け。**470以上 MOD・約9.3万以上項目**に日本語訳を追加します。
## 特徴
- **MOD本体は一切いじりません**
リソースパックなので、MODを更新しても壊れません。外せばすぐ元に戻ります。
- **公式の日本語訳は上書きしません**
MODにもともと入っている日本語訳はそのまま使い、足りない部分だけを補います。
- **入っていないMODの分は自動で無視されます**
478 MOD全部を入れていなくても、入っているMODの分だけ日本語になります。
- **表示崩れのチェック済み**
`%s` や色コード(§)、改行の数など、ゲーム内の表示に関わる記号はすべて原文と一致するよう検査しています。
## 使い方
1. ダウンロードした zip を **解凍せずに**、インスタンスの `resourcepacks` フォルダに入れる
(CurseForgeアプリならインスタンスを右クリック →「フォルダを開く」→ `resourcepacks`)
2. ゲームの **設定 → 言語** を「日本語」にする
3. **設定 → リソースパック** で「MOD日本語化パック」を右側(有効)に移す
※ 他のリソースパックより **上** に置いてください

## よくある質問
**Q. 日本語にならない文字があります**
A. そのMODが対応していない(バージョン違いを含む)か、意図的に英語のまま残している項目です。MOD内蔵の開発用テキスト、曲名、記号・型番だけの項目などは訳していません。
**Q. 他の日本語化パックと一緒に使えますか？**
A. 使えます。同じ項目を訳しているパックがある場合は、リソースパック画面で上にある方が優先されます。
**Q. 1.20.1 以外のバージョンで使えますか？**
A. 1.20.1 用に作っています。他のバージョンでも一部は表示されますが、動作は保証しません。
