This is the Caxton Edition of Modern Font Pack. If you are looking for the source project for this project, go to Modern Font Pack.
This is Modern Font Pack - Caxton Edition, which provides better font smoothing than Modern Font Pack - Standard Edition. Fonts are taken from the Noto Sans font family commissioned by Google. It requires the Caxton mod created by flirora to work.
There are five major versions as follows:
- JP: CJK font is Noto Sans Japanese.
- KR: CJK font is Noto Sans Korean.
- CN: CJK font is Noto Sans Simplified Chinese.
- TW: CJK font is Noto Sans Traditional Chinese.
- HK: CJK font is Noto Sans Hong Kong.
Due to technical limitations, what you need to know is:
1. When loading a resource pack for the first time, it may take a few minutes because Caxton mod needs to cache the resource pack's font files.
2. Some characters may not have italic variants, which causes those characters that appear in italic text to always be displayed in regular variants. This limitation exists in Caxton versions 0.5.5 and below, and 0.7.0 and above, but not in versions 0.5.6 to 0.6.0.
3. Similar to the previous point, some characters do not have a bold variant, which causes those characters that appear in bold text to always be displayed in regular variants.
4. In Caxton versions 0.4.12 and below, doing any of the following while this resource pack is loaded may crash the JVM, thus causing all resource pack be deactivated:
- Changing the mipmap level.
- Changing the language.
- Activating or deactivating resource packs, or changing the order in which resource packs are sorted.
- Reloading resource packs.
The format of the resource pack file name is MFP-Caxton-[Version Category][Version Number][CJK Type].zip, where:
1. [Version Category]:
- 08 represents that the resource pack is suitable for version 1.18.2.
- 09 represents that the resource pack is suitable for version 1.19.2.
- 10 represents that the resource pack is suitable for version 1.19.3.
- 11 represents that the resource pack is suitable for version 1.19.4.
- 12 represents that the resource pack is suitable for versions 1.20 and 1.20.1.
- 13 represents that the resource pack is suitable for versions 1.20.2 and above.
2. [Version Number]: Start from 00. Every time it is updated, the number will increase by 1.
3. [CJK Type]:
- J represents that the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in Japan.
- K represents that the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in Korea.
- C represents that the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in China.
- T represents that the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in Taiwan.
- H represents that the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in Hong Kong.
For example:
1. If you want to use the resource pack that can be used in version 1.18.2, and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in Taiwan, the file to be downloaded is "MFP-Caxton-0802T.zip".
2. If you want to use the resource pack that can be used in version 1.19.2, and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in Hong Kong, the file to be downloaded is "MFP-Caxton-0902H.zip".
3. If you want to use the resource pack that can be used in version 1.19.4, and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in China, the file to be downloaded is "MFP-Caxton-1102C.zip".
4. If you want to use the resource pack that can be used in version 1.20.1, and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in Korea, the file to be downloaded is "MFP-Caxton-1202K.zip".
5. If you want to use the resource pack that can be used in version 1.21.10, and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in Japan, the file to be downloaded is "MFP-Caxton-1302J.zip".
If your country or region does not use Chinese characters, you do not need to pay attention to the Chinese character standard in the [CJK Type] field. You just need to pay attention to the [Version Category] field.

Installation
Before downloading, please note:
1. Download this Resource Pack in the Files tab. Since the Main File on the right will only display one of the version for 26.1.2, and Recent Files will only display 26.1, 1.21 and 1.20 and only one of the versions, do not use the link there to download.
2. Select your game version from the Filter by drop-down menu on the left.
3. Once you find the resource pack you want, click the "⁝" icon on the right and click Download file.
4. Place it in "<game directory>/resourcepacks". For example, "%appdata%\.minecraft\resourcepacks".
5. Go to Options -> Resource Packs, and then apply it. If you receive an incompatibility warning, it means you may have downloaded the wrong version. Please return to this site, select the correct version and download it. If you are using this resource pack with resource packs that have modified fonts, resource packs that have added custom characters, or Patchouli Mod, please arrange on top of those resource packs or Fabric Mods or Mod Resources to ensure proper functioning. If you are not sure how to arrange it, please arrange it at the top.
