"Midway" is a project that aims to restore the soul of Minecraft's nostalgic visuals, while updating them to match the artistic polish of newer versions.
Think of it as a faithful adaptation of Notch and Jeb's original vision. It's the "I know what he was going for" approach, rather than "he had no idea what he was doing".
The textures in this pack are a mashup of old, new, and custom textures that evoke the feeling and style of the pre-1.14 textures, while keeping them in line with Minecraft's new art direction. Mojang did a good job with the delicate task of giving a facelift to the most iconic game of all time, but there are some areas in which they missed the mark. That's what this pack tries to rectify.
