About:
Immersion is a resource pack that aims to enhance Minecraft's graphics, by expanding upon and interpreting the classic Minecraft textures in a higher resolution. Currently, this only includes 32x32 textures, and focuses primarily on blocks.
Ultimately, the pack's name is it's description. The pack tries to upscale the game's graphics, much like the popular pack, Faithful, but unlike Faithful, Immersion focuses on increasing the realism of the textures, providing a smoother and more lifelike aesthetic. Immersion also aims above and beyond, integrating features like OptiFine connected textures support, as well as PBR specular maps designed to take advantage of the potential that SEUS PTGI, Complementary, and other shaders offer. Immersion is also being developed for the Lord of the Rings Minecraft mod, in parallel with the vanilla versions.
Immersion is a massive project, with virtually limitless room for expansion. Currently, it is a 32x resource pack, and it covers mostly blocks. But this is only the beginning of the pack's journey. In time, it will expand further into items, mobs, gui, etc., and potentially even expand into higher resolutions. The long-term goal is to possibly eventually provide every resolution (up to 2k), and to take extreme care with each resolution to ensure quality.
How Often Does Immersion Update?
This answer can be versatile. Most textures take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours to make, and as I am currently trying to acquire many different skills (game development, modding, animating, music creation, video editing, etc.), my available time to work on Immersion is limited. Further, the time dedicated to development of the pack is spread somewhat thin, as I am not only developing the pack for vanilla Minecraft, but also for the Lord of the Rings mod, a mod which has a much larger asset pool than vanilla Minecraft.
So, what am I saying? What I'm trying to explain is that progress on the pack may be slow or irregular at times. It may occur in stops and starts, and will have highs and lows. That said, I am dedicated to the project, and will strive to push out at least one update per month. I aim to complete all blocks by the end of 2022.
How Can You Help?
The most immediate way that you can help me is simply sharing the pack, commenting, downloading it, etc. I am more than welcoming of suggestions for improvement, or any questions or comments you might have about the pack. You can also join my discord, where I am very active and can communicate in real-time with you.
If you want to support me more directly, you can pledge to my Patreon. Patrons receive several benefits as a token of my appreciation, some of which are mentioned towards the top of the page. You can read the tier descriptions on the Patreon page for more information.
Also, if you are interested in the Lotr mod branch of the resource pack, you can check out the page for that here: Immersion Lotr

I really, really hope that this ends up getting finished.
There's a pack that looks similar to this that I LOVED, but it was abandoned... and deleted. And the current version is so outdated.
If this gets cancelled, I will cry
Edit: Please ignore all of the people saying "rip-off of Faithful".
Here's a quote I strongly agree with: "Faithful is like Nickelback. It's popular because it's popular, not because it's actually good. It's one of those things where anyone who doesn't like it, just rolls their eyes every time they hear it's someone's favorite."
In other words, it's Minecraft's equivalent of Pokemon's Charizard.
Faithful in my opinion looks genuinely awful. But this, what you're doing, actually really does look faithful to the original style of minecraft, and I love it with all my heart.
In reply to Zoofyooo:
Thank you so much for the kind words :).
If it helps put you at ease, I'm never going to abandon this project. I'm not the kind of person who abandons projects (at least not ones decently far along). Instead I sometimes just slow down or take a hiatus, but always with the intention of eventually coming back and finishing it. And with Immersion, I don't think I could live with myself if I just left it unfinished. It would take something truly monumental to make me even consider dropping it.
Of course, that doesn't mean it'll necessarily be finished soon. While I like to believe that I'll be able to do that, my progress hasn't exactly been the most steady in the past, so I can't really promise that. But I can promise that I'll keep trying to make as much progress as I can, and I definitely should be making much faster progress soon than in the past couple years.
So... 1.19 just released. Any plans on updating for it? I like the "default, but at a higher res" look and feel, but there's a lot of new blocks since the last version this was updated for.
In reply to dj4aces:
Yeah, I do still intend to update, I've just kind of struggled with motivation the past year or so. The current version only has up to 1.8 blocks textured, but I do still plan to work my way up the versions. Sorry it's been so long since I updated it, I'll try to get some work done soon and push out some updates.
In reply to QuinStudios:
Life happens, so no pressure at all! I hope my message wasn't seen as pressuring.
Looking forward to seeing the updated release, whenever it's ready!
In reply to dj4aces:
No worries. If it put any pressure on me, it was only the good kind. It helps to hear people who like the pack.
so basically you just made what already exists under a different name, you do know that this is basically a rip off of Faithful
In reply to iiKraze:
No, not at all. All of my textures are 100% original, and have a smoother and more realistic style than Faithful.
This project was started primarily because I always liked the idea of Faithful, but personally found a lot of the textures dissatisfying. Immersion is essentially what i always wished Faithful was, but what it never could be. If you were to actually get both packs and compare them side by side, you would see that they are very different from each other.
The only reason that you think this is a rip off is because both packs try to stay true to the default textures. So obviously, they are going to have a lot of similarities, because they are based off of the same textures. But they are in no way the same pack, and both have very different styles and uses.
In reply to QuinStudios:
I think Faithful is a little bit cartoonish and Immersion is more realistic. Also, 32x texture is significantly detailed. By far Immersion is my favorite of default-liked texture pack I've found.
In reply to Edward624:
Thanks, I really appreciate it, it means a lot :)
minecraft textures but made in a higher resoloution
yep, that's just a rip-off of faithful.
In reply to drinkmybleachpls:
Calling this a rip-off of Faithful is like calling Faithful a rip-off of Minecraft.
Yes, it is the same resolution, and it has the same basic premise as Faithful. But all of my textures are 100% original, and if you were to actually try the pack and compare it to Faithful you would see that both packs look completely different. Immersion has a completely different style from Faithful, and the whole reason I started this project is because I don't like Faithful's style.
In fact, a more accurate example is the comparison between the programmer art Minecraft textures and the 1.14+ textures. They have similar looks, but completely different styles. The new Minecraft textures aren't a rip-off of the old ones, just as Immersion is not a rip-off of Faithful. They're simply a different stylistic interpretation.
In reply to QuinStudios:
I was being sarcastic, but I don't know if you know that. Should've made it clearer.
In reply to drinkmybleachpls:
Thanks for clarifying. Yeah, sarcasm doesn't always come across the best through text. And it doesn't help that plenty of people would genuinely say what you said, as evident by the original commenter. I mean, on pages like this people often comment asking questions about things clearly listed directly above. So I generally expect comments to be sincere, because most of them are, even if some of them seem a bit ridiculous.
In reply to QuinStudios:
Hey bro just want u know that maybe some people don't like Immersion but also some people really love its style, just like me. I tried so many resource packs and u are still my favorite one. Hope can see your 1.17 update. :)
In reply to Edward624:
Thanks. Yeah, I'm gonna try to ramp up my progress a bit, so hopefully there should be a whole lot more coming soon.
Absolutely beautiful with BSL shaders but the Peony blandness kills the immersion. I look forward to seeing the progress of this unfold. ^_^
In reply to TheIrishStud:
I'm glad you like it, and I really appreciate the input. I'll definitely take another look at the peony to see how I might be able to improve it.
I really like this texture pack. But i am having some problems.
The book on my enchantment table shows weird black and purple texture.
But the worst one is that NETHER IS INVISIBLE. When i get out of my portal, all blocks in that chunk are invisible.
Please help or I will have to switch to some other texture pack.
In reply to ritvik1882:
What version are you using? Do you have optifine, and are you using any other mods? The more information you can give, the better, so that I can try to recreate the issues, and figure out why that's happening.
One potential issue I can think of is if you are using the wrong version. Make sure that the pack version you are using matches the Minecraft version you are playing with (So Immersion 1.12 if you're on 1.12, Immersion 1.15 if you're playing on 1.15).
