Audio Attenuation Overhaul – More Realistic Sound Propagation

Improved attenuation_distance across multiple sounds for better realism and clarity in every environment. besides updated to lasted Minecraft version (IRIS or Oculus is required)

Major Distance Increases (Loud & Far-Reaching Sounds)

  • Lightning Thunder: thunder1-8 +64 blocks, thundering +48 blocks — thunder now properly carries across long distances.
  • Rain Above: vanilla rain1-4 +16 blocks for more consistent rainfall atmosphere.
  • Ender Dragon: idle1-4 +32, growl1-4 +48, flap1-6 +32 — dragon sounds now feel truly massive.
  • Wolf: bark1-3 +20, howl1-2 +32 — better wilderness feel.
  • Cave Steps (deepslate, netherrack, nether bricks): +16 blocks on 12 entries.
  • Snow & Mud Steps: snow step +24, mud step +24 for more immersive footstep feedback.
  • Synic Immersive Weather Sounds assets, better weather audio I think.

Fine-Tuned & Closer Sounds

  • Ocelot Ambient: +16 blocks (more stealthy jungle feel).
  • Parrot Fly: +8 blocks (wing flaps only audible up close).
  • Water Ambient: water1-3 +4 blocks (subtle water sounds no longer carry too far).

Bug Fixes & Minor Improvements

  • Fixed typo: bridwind3 → birdwind3 (Sniffer idle)
  • Fixed typos in snow step: pery/hawk → prey/hawk, wendogo2 → wendigo2
  • Corrected sand_walk10 weight from 11 back to 10
  • Added missing "replace": true for parrot fly event
  • Added proper attenuation to spider crickets (+24), parrot chirping3/6 (+16), bee loop (volume 0.9, distance 8)
  • Lowered volume to 0.8 for villager idle1-3 and wandering_trader idle1-5
  • Adjusted bison2 volume consistency with other cow variants

Result: Sounds may now propagate more naturally, Much better immersion, especially when paired with Sound Physics Remastered.
