Description

LOST SIGNAL VHS v1.6.1

CRITICAL MINECRAFT 26.2 UPDATE

Minecraft 26.2 users should update to v1.6.1. This release fixes the corrupted blue/white world framebuffer seen with Iris 1.11.2. Use the OpenGL graphics backend; Iris does not support Minecraft 26.2's experimental Vulkan backend.

Lost Signal VHS is a lightweight post-processing shader pack for Minecraft Java Edition. It preserves vanilla lighting while turning the final image into unstable analog found footage recorded and played back through a damaged VHS deck.

BACKROOMS & ANALOG HORROR

Lost Signal VHS is built for Backrooms maps, liminal spaces, horror modpacks, ARGs, machinima, and found-footage videos. Dedicated Backrooms, Poolrooms, and Liminal Night presets recreate sickly fluorescent color, humid cyan haze, unstable exposure, tracking loss, and damaged-camcorder motion while keeping the scene playable.

WHAT'S NEW IN v1.6.1

• Critical Minecraft 26.2 / Iris 1.11.2 framebuffer fix
• Explicit lightweight geometry passes so Iris always supplies the real vanilla-lit scene to the VHS pipeline
• Explicit temporal framebuffer flips for stable history across Iris versions
• Complete v1.6 roadmap: Liminal Signal, tape generations, period camcorders, and broken-signal simulation
• Eleven presets, including Reference VHS, Real VHS, Backrooms, Poolrooms, Liminal Night, Found Footage, Rental Tape, Camcorder 1996, and Broken Signal

AUTHENTIC SIGNAL FEATURES

• True NTSC/PAL interlaced field weaving through a persistent history buffer
• Smooth correlated time-base error and feathered tracking tears
• YIQ signal processing, chroma bandwidth loss, phase errors, color killer, and chroma persistence
• Tape generations, VHS SP/LP/SLP/VHS-C/rental formats, oxide wear, RF interference, tape chew, and frame-repeat stalls
• 1980s tube, 1990s VHS, and early-digital camcorder responses with optional REC/battery/timecode HUD
• Performance, Balanced, and Cinematic quality levels
• English and Russian settings menus
